Edible electronics needs integrated logic circuits for computation and control. This work presents a potentially edible printed chitosan‐gated transistor with a design optimized for integration in circuits. Its implementation in integrated logic gates and circuits operating at low voltage (0.7 V) is demonstrated, as well as the compatibility with an ...

SYSTEMIC APPROACH TO TEACHING BIOPHYSICS TO STUDENTS OF MEDICAL INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION
The theoretical part of the study analyzes the content of the principle of systematicity as a method of scientific research of complex systems, on the one hand, and as a principle of learning in combination with other didactic principles, on the other ...

Substrate Stress Relaxation Regulates Cell‐Mediated Assembly of Extracellular Matrix
Silicone‐based viscoelastic substrates with tunable stress relaxation reveal how matrix mechanics regulates cellular mechanosensing and cell‐mediated matrix remodelling in the stiff regime. High stress relaxation promotes assembly of fibronectin fibril‐like structures, increased nuclear localization of YAP and formation of β1 integrin‐enriched ...

A microphysiological lung fibrosis model recapitulates myofibroblast–vascular interactions. Induced myofibroblasts and patient‐derived IPF fibroblasts impair angiogenesis and increase vascular permeability via TGF‐β1–driven signaling. Pharmacological interventions with SB 431542 and VEGF supplementation restore vascular morphology and barrier function.

Unveiling islet heterogeneity using an automated microfluidic imaging system
Islets of Langerhans are a therapeutic target for diabetes and prediabetes. Measurements of therapeutic inhibitory or excitatory concentrations are often performed using large groups of islets, however, the population heterogeneity cannot be observed ...

Measuring ligand efficacy at the mu-opioid receptor using a conformational biosensor. [PDF]
The intrinsic efficacy of orthosteric ligands acting at G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) reflects their ability to stabilize active receptor states (R*) and is a major determinant of their physiological effects.

A multivalent antiviral platform based on honeycomb‐shaped DNA nanostructures (HC–Urumin) is developed to enhance the potency and breadth of the host defense peptide Urumin. Through spatially patterned trimeric presentation, HC–Urumin disrupts influenza A virus entry, improves cell viability, and reduces disease severity in vivo‐offering a modular and ...

Long-range order and short-range disorder in Saccharomyces cerevisiae biofilm
Biofilm, a colony forming cooperative response of microorganisms under environmental stress, is a major concern for food safety, water safety and drug resistance. Most current works focus on controlling biofilm growth by targeting single genes. Here, the
