This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

In a previous work, we in silico annotated protein sequences of Citrus genus plants as putative tryptophan decarboxylase (pTDC). Here, we investigated the structural properties of Citrus pTDCs by using the TDC sequence of Catharanthus roseus as an ...

GDNF‐RET signaling drives pulmonary neuroendocrine cell hyperplasia and allergic airway inflammation
A neuroimmune interaction centered on the PNEC‐ILC2 axis in an asthma model. PNEC‐derived CGRP activates nearby ILC2s, which then release cytokines, including IL‐5 and IL‐13. These cytokines promote eosinophil and macrophage infiltration. Subsequently, GDNF produced by these cells induces PNEC hyperplasia via the GDNF receptors, RET and GFRα1 ...

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

The uncovering and description of Earth’s biodiversity constitute an ongoing and incomplete chapter of the scientific endeavour. Fortunately, biodiversity studies have been greatly benefiting from molecular tools, such as DNA (meta)barcoding, which provide efficient identification tools for biomonitoring and conservation programmes.
