MiR‐513a promotes human erythroid differentiation by modulating c‐Jun

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
During early human erythropoiesis, miR‐513a promoted erythroid differentiation in primary human CD34+ hematopoietic stem‐progenitor cells and human TF‐1 erythroleukemic cells by indirectly decreasing c‐Jun and phospho‐c‐Jun expression, which are associated with increased GATA1 expression.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Identification of Conserved Linear Epitopes on Viral Protein 2 of Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus Serotype O by Monoclonal Antibodies 6F4.D11.B6 and 8D6.B9.C3

open access: yesAntibodies
Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) is a highly infectious disease of cloven-hoofed animals with a significant economic impact. Early diagnosis and effective prevention and control could reduce the spread of the disease which could possibly minimize economic ...

Systemic characteristic of safety profile of monoclonal antibodies used in rheumatology practice

open access: yesКачественная клиническая практика, 2019
Monoclonal antibodies are highly effective medications, which made a breakthrough in medicine. Taking into consideration the properties of monoclonal antibodies safety plays a key role in “risk-benefit” assessment.

Structure and molecular interaction analysis of monoclonal antibodies in complex with receptor tyrosine kinases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Misregulated receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs), i.e. the epidermal growth factor receptor EGFR or the insulin-like growth factor receptor 1 (IGF-1R), can be involved in the development of cancer.

Identifying gene expression signatures for risk stratification of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy in colorectal cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A novel signature integrating genome‐wide analysis with clinical factors predicts recurrence in stage II colorectal cancer and enables a new risk stratification to guide postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy. Clinical risk stratification for postoperative recurrence in patients with pathological stage II (pStage II) colorectal cancer (CRC) is essential ...

A new enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay with two monoclonal antibodies to specific epitopes measures human lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2002
We established five monoclonal antibodies that reacted with human LCAT and recognized different epitopes on LCAT. These are mouse anti-human LCAT monoclonal antibodies designated 36487, 36454, 36442, 36405, and 36486, which react with the peptides ...

Identifying transcription factors controlling the basal expression of human MRP4 highlights a substantial role for Sp1

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Specific human antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 and monkeypox virus generated via a rapid construction and screening system

open access: yesImmunobiology
Monoclonal antibodies are playing an increasingly important role in modern medicine. Human monoclonal antibodies have become a key focus in the development of monoclonal antibody therapeutics due to their safety.
