Monoclonal antibodies to enzymes

Clinica Chimica Acta, 1989
The production, identification, and utilisation of monoclonal antibodies to enzymes are reviewed. Such antibodies may be produced in vitro by the mouse-hybridoma technique, may occur naturally in vivo as enzyme-binding immunoglobulins and may be produced in the laboratory from the lymphocytes of patients whose sera contains such immunoglobulins.

Deimmunization of Monoclonal Antibodies

2008
Immunogenicity is a major limitation to therapy with certain monoclonal antibodies and proteins. A major driver for immunogenicity is the presence of human T-cell epitopes within the protein sequence which can activate helper T-cells resulting in the sustained production of antibodies and neutralization of the therapeutic effect.

Monoclonal antibodies and thromboembolism

Journal of Thoracic Imaging, 1989
For many years intensive efforts to reliably image thrombi by radionuclide techniques have been unrewarding. Recently, however, monoclonal antibodies to platelet cell-surface antigens and to fibrin polymer have emerged as potent thrombus imaging agents in experimental animals.
