MRAC-MU Online Learning

2018 15th International Conference on Control, Automation, Robotics and Vision (ICARCV), 2018
In this paper, we apply the method of control theory to machine learning, proposing a new multiplication update algorithm combined with adaptive control theory, we name it MRAC-MU algorithm. A new parameter updating law is obtained according to Lyapunov stability theorem.

Convergence performance comparisons of PID, MRAC, and PID + MRAC hybrid controller

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering, 2016
This study proposes a hybrid controller by combining a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control and a model reference adaptive control (MRAC), which named as PID + MRAC controller. The convergence performances of the PID control, MRAC, and hybrid PID + MRAC are also compared. Through the simulation in Matlab, the results show that the convergence

M-MRAC for SPHERES

AIAA Guidance, Navigation, and Control Conference, 2015
This paper presents application of the modi ed reference model MRAC (M-MRAC) method to control the relative position and orientation of a cluster of satellites known collectively as the Synchronized Position Hold, Engage, Reorient Experimental Satellites (SPHERES). The approach uses fast estimation algorithms to achieve guaranteed tracking of reference

Output Feedback M-MRAC

AIAA Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Conference, 2013
This paper presents design and performance analysis of a modified reference model MRAC (M-MRAC) architecture in the output feedback framework for a class of singleinput single-output (SISO) uncertain systems. It is shown that the modification of the reference model by the tracking error feedback enables the designer to achieve a desired level of ...

Analysis and Synthesis of the Modified MRAC-MIT System and the MRAC-Lyapunov System

2020 2nd International Conference on Control Systems, Mathematical Modeling, Automation and Energy Efficiency (SUMMA), 2020
the analysis and synthesis of automatic control systems of a thermal object with reference adaptive control models based on the modified MIT rule and the Lyapunov rule using MATLAB-Simulink software is carried out. The developed algorithms have successfully passed laboratory tests on a thermal object and provide the required quality of the transition ...

Adaptation rates for MRAC systems

International Journal of Control, 1989
Abstract A method for predicting the adaptation rate of a single-input, hyperstability-based, MRAC system is developed. Assuming a slowly changing input and output, this rate follows well-defined root loci. A straightforward method for choosing adaptation gains results. The derived theory was applied to a laboratory experiment which involved a DC motor

Robustness of MRAC schemes

Proceedings of the 1997 American Control Conference (Cat. No.97CH36041), 1997
A standard model reference adaptive control (MRAC) scheme is inherently robust with respect to L/sup /spl infin///spl cap/L/sup 2/ disturbances in the sense that all closed-loop signals are bounded and the tracking error is in L/sup /spl infin///spl cap/L/sup 2/. A MRAC scheme with a new adaptive law is inherently robust with respect to disturbances in

Model updating improves MRAC performance

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1984
The performance of an MRAC design can be improved by using the model- updating concept, which places the state of the system into the reference model at regular time intervals. This paper discusses criteria for determining this updating and a proof is given to show that model updating does not influence the stability properties of an MRAC design.

MRAC with reduced state information

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2004
Abstract Direct adaptive control algorithms using state variables in control structure are known for their good adaptation capability and tracking performances that result from the fact that they use plant state variables in control law as well as in adaptation law.
