A defective ABC transporter of the MRP family, responsible for the bean lpa1 mutation, affects the regulation of the phytic acid pathway, reduces seed myo-inositol and alters ABA sensitivity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We previously identified the lpa1 (low phytic acid) 280-10 line that carries a mutation conferring a 90% reduction in phytic acid (InsP6) content. In contrast to other lpa mutants, lpa1(280-10) does not display negative pleiotropic effects.

3′ terminal diversity of MRP RNA and other human noncoding RNAs revealed by deep sequencing

open access: yesBMC Molecular Biology, 2013
BackgroundPost-transcriptional 3′ end processing is a key component of RNA regulation. The abundant and essential RNA subunit of RNase MRP has been proposed to function in three distinct cellular compartments and therefore may utilize this mode of ...

Impact of organic pollutants on phenotype and gene expression in human breast cancer cells

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Human exposure to industrial chemical compounds is widespread and, although often beneficial, prolonged contact may contribute to disease development, including cancer. While many studies have shown organic pollutants (OP) are cytotoxic, few have explored how long‐term exposure alters cell phenotype.

Non-immune binding of human IgG to M-related proteins confers resistance to phagocytosis of group A streptococci in blood. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
The non-immune binding of immunoglobulins by bacteria is thought to contribute to the pathogenesis of infections. M-related proteins (Mrp) are group A streptococcal (GAS) receptors for immunoglobulins, but it is not known if this binding has any impact ...

A Revised and Improved Version of the MRP Algorithm: Rev MRP [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
This article illustrates an improvement of the traditional MRP algorithm, providing significant benefits in terms of reducing the nervous behavior, better pacing order releases, lowering inventory and concurrently reducing the need for continuous forecast adjustments.

'They must help if the doctor gives them to you’: a qualitative study of the older person’s lived experience of medication-related problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Objective: medication-related problems (MRP) are common for older adults and can lead to harm. The older person’s perspective on MRP has been seldom reported in published literature.

Exploring the roles and impacts of pharmacists embedded in general practice: a scoping review

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy Practice and Research, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The role of the general practice pharmacist (GPP) in Australia is not yet clearly defined, and their clinical expertise remains underutilised in general practice settings. This may be attributed to a limited understanding of pharmacists' capabilities, which can hinder optimal GPP utilisation.

Evaluating demand driven MRP: a case based simulated study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This study evaluates the assumption underpinning Material Requirements Planning (MRP), buffer management and DDMRP before analysing the case company and evaluating the potential benefits, utilizing simulated data from the existing ERP system. The purpose

Clinical, Genetic, and Imaging Characteristics of SCA27B: Insights from a Large Dutch Cohort

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Deep intronic GAA repeat expansions in intron 1 of the FGF14 gene were identified in 2023 as cause of late‐onset cerebellar ataxia. Since then, GAA‐FGF14‐related ataxia (SCA27B) has emerged as one of the most common genetic causes of late‐onset cerebellar ataxia.
