Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Syndromic surveillance and pathogen detection using multiplex assays for respiratory infections in small ruminants [PDF]
Background Several bacterial and viruses can infect the respiratory tract of small ruminants causing similar clinical signs. The differential diagnosis of respiratory diseases in small ruminants can be achieved using multi-plex assays for an accurate ...

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...
