"Mycobacterium tilburgii" Infections
To the Editor: Advanced molecular biologic methods have improved the species differentiation and taxonomic classification of microorganisms, including nontuberculous mycobacteria. Identifying and characterizing an increasing number of "new" mycobacterial species of medical importance is now possible.

Rapid detection and immune characterization of Mycobacterium abscessus infection in cystic fibrosis patients. [PDF]
Cystic fibrosis patients are highly susceptible to infections with non-tuberculous mycobacteria. Especially Mycobacterium abscessus infections are common but reliable diagnosis is hampered by non-specific clinical symptoms and insensitive mycobacterial ...

Identification of Non-Tuberculosis Mycobacteria by Line Probe Assay and Determination of Drug Resistance Patterns of Isolates in Iranian Patients [PDF]
The potentially pathogenic Non-Tuberculosis Mycobacteria (NTM) are emerging nowadays which result in pulmonary and non-pulmonary infections in human. This group of bacteria consists of at least 200 different species.
