Abstract Following a request from the European Commission, EFSA was asked to deliver a scientific opinion on the safety and efficacy of 1‐methoxy‐4‐(prop‐1‐(trans)‐enyl)benzene (trans‐anethole) and eugenol as sensory feed additives for all avian species. The additives are already authorised for use in all animal species except fish and poultry.
