MR Spectroscopy Without Water Suppression Using the Gradient Impulse Response Function

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 2, Page 530-541, August 2026.
ABSTRACT PurposeNon‐water‐suppressed proton spectroscopy, 1H‐MRS, is desirable, as retaining the strong water resonance can facilitate automated online data corrections, internal concentration referencing, and monitoring of line narrowing effects in functional MRS. Removal of the water suppression module can also mitigate magnetization transfer effects

Synthesis of myo-Inositol-1,4,5-2,4,6-and 1,3,5-trisphosphate

open access: yes, 1994
myo-Inosiol-1,4,5-trisphosphate(1) is well established as a second messenger mobilizing Ca2+ in the intracellular signal transduction pathway. Compound 1 and its positional isomers, myo-Inositol 2,4,6-trisphosphate(2) and -1,3,5-trisphosphate(3) were ...

Regioselective opening of myo-inositol orthoesters: Mechanism and synthetic utility

open access: yes, 2013
Acid hydrolysis of myo-inositol 1,3,5-orthoesters, apart from orthoformates, exclusively affords the corresponding 2-O-acyl myo-inositol products via a 1,2-bridged five-membered ring dioxolanylium ion intermediate observed by NMR spectroscopy.

Metabolic Assessment in Human Pluripotent Stem Cell‐Derived Cerebral Organoids Using HR‐MAS NMR Spectroscopy

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 8, August 2026.
We present a direct method for evaluating metabolism in intact hPSC‐derived cerebral organoids (COs) via HR‐MAS 1H‐NMR spectroscopy. This approach suggests that COs exhibit a metabolic profile similar to in vivo human fetal brain, with high levels of lactate and hTau, low levels of NAA, and equimolar levels of Glu and Gln.

Vancomycin Protects Against Lung Injury and Promotes Butyrate Metabolism

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 13, 15 July 2026.
Transplanting the fecal microbiota of patients with lung injury into mice causes an increase in LPS in the mice's blood, thereby leading to chronic lung injury in the mice. Meanwhile, oral administration of vancomycin can enhance colonic butyrate metabolism and improve lung injury in mice.

Recombinant Protein Expression in Rhodococcus species

open access: yesCurrent Protocols, Volume 6, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Producing recombinant bacterial proteins is essential for elucidating their structure and function, making efficient overexpression systems a key requirement. Escherichia coli is widely used for this purpose, particularly for bacterial proteins, but certain targets remain challenging to express or obtain as soluble protein.
