Photodegradation of N-nitrosodiethylamine in water with UV irradiation
Science Bulletin, 2008The direct photolysis of N-nitrosodiethylamine (NDEA) in water with ultraviolet (UV) irradiation was investigated. Results showed that NDEA could be completely degraded under the direct UV irradiation. The effects of the experimental conditions, including the initial concentration of NDEA, humic acid and solution pH, were studied.

Influence of disulfiram on the metabolism of N-nitrosodiethylamine.

Modulation of N-nitrosodiethylamine-induced hamster lung tumors by ozone
Toxicology, 1993Male Syrian Golden hamsters were treated with subcutaneous injections of N-nitrosodiethylamine (DEN), 20 mg/kg, twice a week for 24 weeks. Half the animals were kept in filtered air and the other half was exposed continuously to an atmosphere of 0.8 ppm of ozone.

[The dependence of the carcinogenic effect on the concentration of N-nitrosodiethylamine].

Inhibition of N-nitrosodiethylamine-induced hepatocarcinogenesis by Picroliv.
Journal of experimental & clinical cancer research : CR, 2001Picroliv, an iridoid glycoside mixture prepared from the roots and rhizomes of Picrorhiza kurroa was found to be an effective inhibitor of hepatocarcinogenesis induced by N-Nitrosodiethylamine (NDEA) in rats. Animals administered with NDEA had large hepatic nodules and the liver weight was increased to 6.17 +/- 1.0 g/100 g.b.wt.

[Action of N-dinitrosopiperazine and N-nitrosodiethylamine on aquarium guppies].
Voprosy onkologii, 1982Tumors and precancerous lesions of the gastrointestinal tract were induced in aquarium fish guppy by dinitrosopiperazine and nitrosodiethylamine dissolved in aquarium water. Nitrosodiethylamine appeared to produce a stronger blastogenic effect than dinitrosopiperazine.

[Effect of ethanol on the hepatocarcinogenic action of N-nitrosodiethylamine in rats].

Some aspects of prenatal risk of N-nitrosodiethylamine carcinogenesis.
IARC scientific publications, 1981In the respiratory tract of the Syrian golden hamster, N-nitrosodiethylamine (NDEA) tumorigenicity is first observed on the 12th prenatal day. Thereafter, it increases with age. NDEA sensitivity coincides with cellular differentiation of the tissue and with the rapid decline of cellular proliferative activity.
