Occurrence of grapevine chrome mosaic nepovirus in Austria
Journal of Phytopathology, 1994AbstractA virus recovered by inoculation of sap from Austrian vines with yellow mosaic symptoms was compared with, and found virtually indistinguishable from, an authentic Hungarian isolate of grapevine chrome mosaic nepovirus. This seems to be the first record of the virus in Austria.

Genetically engineered resistance against grapevine chrome mosaic nepovirus
Plant Molecular Biology, 1993Nepoviruses are a group of isometric plant viruses with a genome divided between two-single-stranded, positive-sense, RNA molecules. They are usually transmitted by nematodes and a number of them have significant economic impact, especially in perennial crops such as grapevine and fruit trees.

Amino-acid sequence comparison of nepovirus coat proteins
Virus Genes, 1992The amino acid sequence of the coat proteins of several nepoviruses was determined by a combination of peptide and nucleic acid sequencing (grapevine fanleaf virus, arabis mosaic virus, tomato blackring virus, grapevine chrome mosaic virus). These sequences were compared and showed homologies ranging from 10% to 69%, and 96.7% for the two arabis mosaic

Nucleotide sequence of black currant reversion associated nepovirus RNA1
Virus Research, 2001The RNA1 of black currant reversion associated nepovirus (BRAV) is 7711 nucleotides (nt) long, excluding the poly-A tail, and contains one long open reading frame (ORF) which is translated into a polyprotein of 2094 amino acids. The 5' NTR of BRAV RNA1 is 66 nt long and 78% identical with RNA2 5' NTR only over the first 57 nucleotides.

Cloning full-length cDNA of grapevine chrome mosaic nepovirus
Gene, 1988Full-length cDNA copies of the genomic RNAs of grapevine chrome mosaic virus were obtained and cloned in Escherichia coli by a one-step procedure. The cloning protocol included size selections by agarose-gel electrophoresis of both the single-stranded and the double-stranded full-length cDNAs.

The complete nucleotide sequence of RNA2 of blackcurrant reversion nepovirus
Virus Research, 1999The complete nucleotide sequence of blackcurrant reversion nepovirus (BRV) RNA2 was determined from cDNA clones. RNA2 was 6400 nucleotides (nt) in length excluding the 3' poly(A)-tail. It contained a single open reading frame of 4878 nts encoding a polypeptide of 1626 amino acids with a calculated M(r) of 178¿ omitted¿860.

Sequence analysis of grapevine isolates of Raspberry ringspot nepovirus
Archives of Virology, 2005The nucleotide sequences of RNAs 1 and 2 of a German isolate of Raspberry ringspot virus (RpRSV) infecting grapevine (RpRSV-Grapevine), as well as partial sequences of another grapevine isolate from Switzerland (RAC815) were determined. The sequences of the protease-polymerase region encoded by RNA1, and the movement protein and coat protein genes ...

Properties of a previously undescribed grapevine nepovirus from Tunisia
Archives of Virology, 1992A virus with isometric particles c. 30 nm in diameter and angular contour was isolated by inoculation of sap from a Tunisian grapevine with mild mottling and leaf deformation. The virus sedimented in sucrose density gradients as three components: T (empty shells), M (particles containing a molecule of ssRNA with an apparent size of 5,800 nucleotides ...
