BMJ, 2014
The whole truth and nothing but the truth Informed choice requires comprehensive and credible information. Much of the rationale for the currently evolving movement to fully share data is to provide information for decision making, particularly in situations involving the need to balance the potential benefits and harms of medical products.

Neuraminidase Studies in Sialidosis

1980
In 1968, two patients were described in the literature who exhibited clinical features resembling Hurler disease, yet had a normal urinary excretion of acid mucopolysaccharides. Histological and ultrastructural studies of neuronal, visceral and mesenchymal tissues revealed the lysosomal storage of compounds thought to be acid mucopolysaccharides and ...

Brain Neuraminidases and Gangliosides

1976
A number of data of kinetics nature indicate that brain neuraminidases (the cytosol and the membrane bound enzyme) recognize the physical state of gangliosidic substrate, with immediate modification of the activity. The interactions between the enzyme(s) and the different physical forms of the substrate are still to be studied at the molecular level ...

Viral and Bacterial Neuraminidases

1972
In the last few years an increasing number of enzymes were found to be associated with virus particles. For a long time neuraminidase was the only virus specific enzyme known to be an integral part of myxoviruses. Therefore, it is not surprising that it is the best known among the enzymes associated with animal virions.
