肌萎缩侧索硬化医疗质量控制指标 Medical Quality Control Indicators for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesZhongguo cuzhong zazhi

Effectiveness of Resistance Intradialytic Exercise Compared to Aerobic Intradialytic Exercise for Patients With Chronic Kidney Disease: A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis commonly experience reduced physical function, fatigue, poor sleep quality, and impaired health‐related quality of life. Intradialytic exercise has been proposed as a non‐pharmacological strategy to improve these outcomes.

Clinically probable RBD is an early predictor of malignant non-motor Parkinson’s disease phenotypes

open access: yesnpj Parkinson's Disease
Non-motor symptoms (NMS) in Parkinson’s disease (PD) significantly impact quality of life, especially in later stages. REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD) affects approximately 42% of all PD patients and frequently precedes motor PD symptoms. RBD is linked

TNFα increases tyrosine hydroxylase expression in human monocytes

open access: yesnpj Parkinson's Disease, 2021
Most, if not all, peripheral immune cells in humans and animals express tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), the rate limiting enzyme in catecholamine synthesis. Since TH is typically studied in the context of brain catecholamine signaling, little is known about ...

Temporal and Spatial Dynamics of Inflammasome Activation After Ischemic Stroke

open access: yesFrontiers in Neurology, 2021
Background: The inflammasome represents a highly pro-inflammatory mechanism. It has been identified that inflammasome was activated after ischemic stroke. However, the impact of inflammasomes on stroke outcomes remains contradictory.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.
