Small Science, EarlyView.The authors propose a novel use for the conventional hypoglycemic drug, dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP4+) inhibitor sitagliptin. Sitagliptin prevents scar formation during wound healing through fibroblast‐to‐adipocyte conversion at least by preventing DPP4‐mediated truncation of IGF‐1.
