The promoter of the human gene encoding the p65 subunit of the transcription factor NF-kappa B was cloned and the nucleotide sequence determined. The p65 promoter lacks both TATA and CCAAT consensus sequences. The p65 promoter contains three consensus binding sites of the transcription factor SP1.

NF-kappa B signaling and carcinogenesis.
Current pharmaceutical design, 2007NF-kappaB is an inducible transcription factor that is controlled by the signal activation cascades. NF-kappaB controls a number of genes involved in immuno-inflammatory responses, cell cycle progression, inhibition of apoptosis and cell adhesion, thus promoting carcinogenesis and cancer progression.

[Nuclear transcription factor kappa B (NF-kappa B)].
La Revue de medecine interne, 1999The transcription factor NF-kappa B is a key regulator of genes involved in responses to infection, inflammation and stress. It was first identified as a protein with ADN-binding activity specific for the 10-base-pair kappa B site in the immunoglobulin k light-chain enhancer of B lymphocytes.NF-kappa B is normally present in the cell cytoplasm bound to

NF-kappa B precursor p100 inhibits nuclear translocation and DNA binding of NF-kappa B/rel-factors.
Oncogene, 1993The NF-kappa B precursor p100 (lyt-10, p97, p98) generates after proteolytic processing a 52 kDa subunit, which can bind to kappa B-motifs. A deregulated form of the p100 gene, which is structurally altered by a t(10;14) translocation, has a potential oncogenic role in certain human B cell lymphomas.

Act1, an NF-kappa B-activating protein.
Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, 2000Use of an NF-kappaB-dependent selectable marker facilitated the isolation of a cell line containing a cDNA encoding Act1, an NF-kappaB activator. Act1 associates with and activates IkappaB kinase (IKK), leading to the liberation of NF-kappaB from its complex with IkappaB.

Pankreas duktal adenokarsinomunda NF-Kappa B ekspresyonu
2018Purpose: In this study we investigated the expression of the p65 subunit of the nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-kB) complex and the activation status of NF-kB by phospho-IkB-alpha antibody.Materials and Methods: A tissue microarray based on material obtained from 107 patients was utilized.
