Overview of the regulation of intrinsic and extrinsic signals during neurodevelopment. Intrinsic genetic signals from NSCs, in conjunction with cues from microglia and blood vessels, collaboratively regulate the proliferation of NSCs, their fate determination, synaptogenesis, synaptic pruning, neuronal survival, and death, as well as communication ...

Coherent transmission through a one dimensional lattice [PDF]
Based on the Keldysh nonequilibrium Green function (NGF) technique, a general formula for the current and transmission coefficient through a one dimensional lattice is derived without the consideration of electron-electron interactions. We obtain an analytical condition for perfect resonant transmission when the levels of sites are aligned, which ...

The study identified sortilin as a promising LTR, enabling targeted degradation of oncogenic proteins through an mRNA‐encoded MedTAC strategy. In a mouse model, MedTACPTK7 reduced PTK7 by up to 80%, extended survival, and showed excellent pharmacokinetics without toxicity, providing a scalable platform for targeted therapies.

Dimeric dipeptide mimetics of neurotrophins as molecular tools and potential neuroprotective drugs [PDF]
Proteins from the neurotrophin family perform trophic and regulatory functions in the nervous and other body systems. Understanding the mechanisms of neurotrophin action is crucial not only for the evolution of fundamental scientific knowledge but also ...

Dynamics of one-dimensional correlated nuclear systems within non-equilibrium Green's function theory [PDF]
Theory of non-equilibrium Green's function (NGF) provides a practical framework for studying quantum many-body systems out of equilibrium. Extending the previous mean field approach developed for nuclear systems in one dimension with NGF, we introduce isospin degrees of freedom to the Green's functions and incorporate short-range two-body interactions ...

Electronic structure and transport for a laser-field-irradiated quantum wire with Rashba spin-orbit coupling [PDF]
We investigate theoretically the electronic structure and transport for a two-level quantum wire with Rashba spin-orbit coupling (SOC) under the irradiation of an external laser field at low temperatures. The photon-induced transitions between SOC-splitted subbands with the same lateral confinement quantum numbers and between subbands with different ...

Nerve growth factor nonresponsive pheochromocytoma cells: altered internalization results in signaling dysfunction. [PDF]
Variant rat pheochromocytoma (PC12) cells which fail to respond to nerve growth factor (NGF) (PC12nnr5) (Green, S. H., R. E. Rydel, J. L. Connoly, and L. A. Greene. 1986. J. Cell Biol. 102:830-843) bind NGF at both high and low affinity sites.

Efficient Backdoor Removal Through Natural Gradient Fine-tuning [PDF]
The success of a deep neural network (DNN) heavily relies on the details of the training scheme; e.g., training data, architectures, hyper-parameters, etc. Recent backdoor attacks suggest that an adversary can take advantage of such training details and compromise the integrity of a DNN.

Designed Biomaterial‐Enhanced Cell Transplantation for Neural Tissue Engineering
Biomaterials offer a promising solution for cell transplantation in the central nervous system by creating a protective environment that enhances cell survival, integration, and functional recovery in preclinical models of neurological disorders. ABSTRACT Cell transplantation therapy in the central nervous system is hindered by limited survival and ...
