SUPPRESSIVE EFFECTS of CERTAIN VITAMINS and ORGANIC ACIDS AGAINST Meloidogyne incognita on OKRA PLANT AND THEIR ROLE in IMPROVING HOST GROWTH UNDER GREENHOUSE CONDITIONS. [PDF]
A pot experiment was conducted to determine the effects of six vitamins i.e. ascorbic acid, citric acid, folic acid, nicotinic acid, pyridoxine and thiamine in comparison with oxamyl against Meloidogyne incognita infecting okra plant under greenhouse ...

An activity‐dependent pathway links prefrontal circuit hypoactivity to cognitive impairment. Reduced PVA–mPFC activity upregulates NEPAS, which suppresses PTX3 secretion, leading to impaired angiogenesis, myelin deficits, and memory decline. Rescue is achieved by NEPAS knockdown or chemogenetic circuit activation.

Nicotinic acid receptor abnormalities in human skin cancer: implications for a role in epidermal differentiation. [PDF]
Chronic UV skin exposure leads to epidermal differentiation defects in humans that can be largely restored by pharmacological doses of nicotinic acid. Nicotinic acid has been identified as a ligand for the human G-protein-coupled receptors GPR109A and ...

We identify two decisive levers for SAM interfaces: molecular design (carboxylic acid‐based, phosphonic acid, other anchoring chemistries, and polymeric SAMs) and mixing routes (co‐assembly, in situ assembly, pre‐ and post‐treatment). Coordinated tuning of headgroups and assembly pathways optimises energy alignment and film formation, suppresses ...

Dietary RSO supplementation improved growth performance, simultaneously enriched n‐3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n‐3 PUFA), and enhanced antioxidant capacity in Pekin ducks, which suggested that RSO has the potential to be a novel n‐3 PUFA source and an antioxidant for Pekin ducks to generate animal functional foods.

A intrigante bioquímica da niacina: uma revisão crítica
Niacin (nicotinamide, nicotinic acid) interferes on homeostasis, DNA regulation, signaling and longevity. Nicotinic acid reduces synthesis of lipoproteins-apo-B and increases HDL.
