Programming Neuromorphic Plasticity Through Ionic and Electronic Coupling in Organic Electrochemical Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Neuromorphic plasticity in OECTs is governed by the post‐stimulus evolution of coupled ionic and electronic states. Semiconductor chemistry and morphology, electrolyte composition and interfaces, and device architecture regulate ion injection, transport, confinement, and release, shifting responses from rapidly relaxing STP to metastable memory and ...

Integrated Multiband Smart Windows From UV to LWIR Based on Molecularly Engineered Thermochromic Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A multiband smart window integrating a thermochromic poly (EEEA‐co‐NIPAM) hydrogel with functional layers, enabling dynamic VIS‐NIR solar modulation alongside UV shielding and low LWIR emissivity. The polymer network forms hydrogen‐bonding interactions, promoting chain collapse above a reduced lower critical solution temperature, and accelerating the ...

One‐Component Carbon Dot Photoinitiator Enables High‐Fidelity Digital Light Processing 3D Printing With Improved Mechanical Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Furfural carbon dots functionalized with acylphosphine oxide photosensitive groups (CD‐PO PI) demonstrate potential as one‐component photoinitiators for digital light processing (DLP) 3D printing. Compared to conventional diphenyl(2,4,6‐trimethylbenzoyl)phosphine oxide (TPO), CD‐PO PI offers improved printing resolution, resin toughness, and biological

Macrophage–Fibroblast Crosstalk Governs Tumor Mechanics, as Revealed by Spatiotemporal Force Mapping in 3D Spheroids

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows crosstalk among tumor cells, fibroblasts, and macrophages alters the physical forces inside 3D tumor spheroids. Incorporating deformable microparticles in 3D tumor spheroids, the researchers mapped mechanical stresses spatially and with respect to tumor growth (temporally).
