NME proteins regulate class switch recombination

open access: yesFEBS Letters, Volume 593, Issue 1, Page 80-87, January 2019., 2019
Class switch recombination (CSR) in B cells involves deletion‐recombination at switch (S) region DNA and is important for the diversification of antibody isotypes during an immune response. Here, we identify two NME [NM23/NDPK (nucleoside diphosphate kinase)] isoforms, NME1 and NME2, as novel players in this process.

Correlation between negative expression of pepsinogen C and a series of phenotypic markers of gastric cancer in different gastric diseases

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 7, Issue 8, Page 4068-4076, August 2018., 2018
Combined detection of negative marker PGC and positive markers MG7‐ Ag and MMP9 could be used as a potential follow‐up panel for monitoring dynamical progression of AG and improve the detection efficiency of high‐risk individuals of gastric cancer, so then to take the necessary interventions on the target population. Abstract Gastric tumorigenesis is a

Treg cells retain stable lineage commitment during pregnancy in mice after late gestation inflammatory challenge

open access: yesImmunology &Cell Biology, Volume 104, Issue 3, Page 276-311, March 2026.
In this study, we used Foxp3‐fatemapping mice to examine the cell lineage stability of Treg cells in pregnancy. Ex‐Foxp3 cells were identified in gestational tissues. However, Treg cells retained lineage stability with no increased ex‐Foxp3 generation, regardless of inflammatory challenges that induce preterm birth.

Mix and match of the tumor metastasis suppressor Nm23 protein isoforms in vitro and in vivo

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 285, Issue 15, Page 2856-2868, August 2018., 2018
The two main Nm23 isoforms, Nm23‐H1 and Nm23‐H2, are hexameric enzymes involved in various cellular processes. They exhibit high sequence homology, but are mostly studied as separate genes. Here, we show that endogenous Nm23 proteins are predominantly present as heterohexameric complexes following stochastic association. The stoichiometric distribution

Transcriptome Analysis of Platelet‐Rich Plasma–Treated Osteoarthritic Chondrocyte

open access: yesBioMed Research International, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
As a blood‐derived biomaterial, platelet‐rich plasma (PRP) has been considered a potential therapy and tried in knee and hip osteoarthritis with beneficial effects as an anti‐inflammatory and potent regenerative agent. To better understand the substantial effect of PRP on chondrocytes in an inflammatory environment, we analyzed the transcriptome ...

Differentially expressed and survival‐related proteins of lung adenocarcinoma with bone metastasis

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 7, Issue 4, Page 1081-1092, April 2018., 2018
Proteomics identified proteins significantly associated with bone metastasis (BM). Online databases and clinical data verified potential predictive and diagnosis biomarkers. The values for drug development and treatment of lung adenocarcinoma with BM.

Clinical Implication and the Hereditary Factors of NM23 in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Based on Bioinformatics Analysis and Genome–Wide Association Study

open access: yesJournal of Oncology, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
NM23 expression is closely associated with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) recurrence, but the hereditary factors influencing NM23 levels are unknown. Using public database, the diagnostic value of NM23 in HCC was investigated. A total of 424 hepatitis B virus‐ (HBV‐) related HCC patients were enrolled to perform a genome–wide association study for ...

Nucleoside diphosphate kinase Nm23-M1 involves in oligodendroglial versus neuronal cell fate decision in vitro

open access: yesDifferentiation, 2012
The adult glial progenitor cells were recently shown to be able to produce neurons in central nervous system (CNS) and to become multipotent in vitro. Although the fate decision of glial progenitors was studied extensively, the signals and factors which regulate the timing of neuronal differentiation still remain unknown.

Over-expression of NME/NM23 nucleoside diphosphate kinase 1 in human endometrial cancer.

open access: yes, 2021
Gynecologic cancers including cancers of the endometrium are a clinical problem (1-4). We mined published microarray data (5, 6) to discover genes associated with endometrial cancers by comparing transcriptomes of the normal endometrium and endometrial tumors from humans.
