Enhanced Recovery After Surgery in Simultaneous Pancreas–Kidney Transplantation: A Retrospective Cohort Analysis of Perioperative Outcomes

open access: yesOrgan Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background While simultaneous pancreas–kidney transplantation (SPK) is an established therapeutic intervention for patients with end‐stage renal disease and diabetes, it has been associated with prolonged recovery periods and high complication rates.

In Utero HSC Transplantation for Sickle Cell Disease: A Potential Therapeutic Approach That Overcomes Complications of Current Therapies

open access: yesPrenatal Diagnosis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sickle cell disease (SCD) affects millions worldwide but has limited treatment options, most of which carry significant side effects. At present, the only curative treatment for SCD is allogeneic or gene‐modified autologous hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) transplantation (Tx).

Sickle Cell Disease: Historical Overview and Current Therapies

open access: yesPrenatal Diagnosis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sickle cell disease (SCD) affects millions worldwide, yet the limited treatment options currently available do not always adequately control the disease and carry significant side effects. At present, the only curative treatment is hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) transplantation, a procedure that carries considerable challenges and numerous ...

Long‐term outcomes of haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation with antithymocyte globulin–based myeloablative conditioning in pediatric refractory or relapsed non‐Hodgkin lymphoma

open access: yesPediatric Investigation, EarlyView.
Single‐center retrospective data showed that ATG‐based myeloablative haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation provides durable remission and favorable long‐term survival in children with refractory/relapsed non‐Hodgkin lymphoma, achieving high engraftment rates, low relapse incidence, and acceptable toxicity.

Clinical predictors of response to methotrexate in patients with rheumatoid arthritis: A systematic review

open access: yesRheumatology &Autoimmunity, EarlyView.
This review integrates clinical, immunological, genetic, and multi‐omic evidence, highlighting dynamic inflammatory and adenosine‐pathway biomarkers and reinforcing treat‐to‐target principles as the most actionable framework for personalized methotrexate therapy.

Treg‐stromal cell axis in tissue repair and autoimmune diseases: Mechanisms and clinical translation

open access: yesRheumatology &Autoimmunity, EarlyView.
The Treg‐stromal cell axis as a central regulator of tissue repair and immune tolerance. Under physiological conditions, bidirectional communication between Tregs and stromal cells—mediated by cell‐surface molecular contacts, anti‐inflammatory cytokines, and extracellular vesicles—orchestrates inflammation resolution, immune tolerance, and complete ...

Intersection of systemic lupus erythematosus and autoimmune thyroid disease: Shared pathophysiology, epidemiology, diagnosis, and management

open access: yesRheumatology &Autoimmunity, EarlyView.
A proposed mechanistic framework of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD) pathogenesis. In Stage 1, genetically susceptible individuals harbor risk variants within major histocompatibility complex (HLA) and non‐HLA loci that impair central and peripheral immune tolerance mechanisms within the thymic and peripheral ...

LINC00892 inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma progression through SBDS/EIF6‐mediated ribosomal stress and interacting with the immune microenvironment

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
LINC00892 is lowly expressed in HCC. LINC00892 overexpression induces ribosomal stress via inhibiting SBDS, restrains EIF6 nuclear translocation and activates p53 pathway. LINC00892 overexpression and p53 activation jointly suppress HCC progression. High LINC00892 is associted with infiltration of CD8+ T cells, B cells and macrophages, and associated ...
