Enalapril blunts the antinatriuretic effect of circulating noradrenaline in man
Objective: The present study examines the effect of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibition on the renal haemodynamic and sodium excretory responses to noradrenaline in man.Design: We studied the effects of intravenous noradrenaline (0.075 (J.g/kg per ...

Sleep involves infra-slow ∼50-second fluctuations between disengagement and sensory reactivity. New findings reveal that the brain's noradrenaline system controls these dynamics by acting in the thalamus to affect sleep spindles, and by modulating coordinated heart rate variations.

Abstract Lesions of the ascending noradrenergic bundles using the selective neurotoxin 6-hydroxydopamine increased neophobia to a number of novel tastes in rats. These lesions also increased some, but not all, measures of neophobia in novel environments.

[Acute tolerance to noradrenaline ("noradrenaline escape")].
Archives internationales de physiologie et de biochimie, 1977The decline in arterial systemic blood pressure which follows the initial rise during i.v. perfusion of L-noradrenaline in normal rats has been compared with the same type of decline induced by metaraminol or phenylephrine, both alpha-sympathomimetic drugs (acute tolerance or escape). Vasoconstrictor activity of noradrenaline in shot i.v.
