Grinding force model for rotary ultrasonic grinding of TiBw mesh reinforced titanium matrix composites

open access: yesJin'gangshi yu moliao moju gongcheng, 2022
To solve the problems of poor surface quality and unevenness during the processing of TiBw mesh reinforced titanium matrix composites, the normal grinding forces of rotary ultrasonic grinding were studied.

The pyruvate generator is a common phenomenon in mitochondria from different rat and mouse brain regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The pyruvate generator, which causes activation of respiration by extra‐mitochondrial Ca2+, is also present and functional in rat brainstem mitochondria, as it is in other brain regions. This finding is confirmed by experiments with a fully reconstituted malate–aspartate shuttle (MAS).

Characterizations for Matrices of Dominant Support Parameters in Soft Sets

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The matrix of dominant support parameters plays an important role in solving the normal and pseudo parameter reduction problems for soft sets. This article aims to make a fundamental investigation on the properties of matrix of dominant support ...

Eigenmatrices of a normal matrix

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 1997
For a normal invertible matrix \(N\), the author studies matrices \(A\) such that \(N^*AN=pA\) for complex numbers \(p\). He shows they span all matrices of the given size, and have a particular block structure.

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Regulating the microstructure and mechanical properties in cast Al–3Li–2Cu-0.15Zr alloy via Sn addition and heat treatment

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
The cast Al–3Li–2Cu-0.15Zr alloy is a promising material due to its high strength-to-weight ratio and stiffness. In this work, the Sn addition and heat treatment were employed to regulate its microstructure and mechanical properties. The results indicate

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Minimax Estimation of the Mean Matrix of the Matrix Variate Normal Distribution under the Divergence Loss Function

open access: yesStatistica, 2018
The problem of estimating the mean matrix of a matrix-variate normal distribution with a covariance matrix is considered under two loss functions. We construct a class of empirical Bayes estimators which are better than the maximum likelihood estimator ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...
