Enhancing electrical conductivity by defects in metals

open access: yesNature Communications
High electrical conductivity is crucial for electrics, electronics, communications. Eliminating defects such as grain boundaries and impurities is a primary approach to enhancing electrical conductivity in metals.

A method of extended normal equations for tikhonov’s regulatization problems with differentiation operator

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2014
This article is devoted to a new method of ill-conditioned linear algebraic systems solving with the help of differentiation operator. These problems appear while solving the first kind integral Fredholm equations.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Epsilon-near-zero ITO/Ag/SiO2 metamaterial for large nonlinear absorption

open access: yesEPJ Applied Metamaterials
Enhanced nonlinear optical response contributes to higher device efficiency, lower power consumption and more compact integration. In this study, we designed an epsilon-near-zero multilayer metamaterial composed of Ag, ITO and SiO2.

Frobenius normal forms of doubly stochastic matrices

open access: yesSpecial Matrices, 2019
An elementary proof of a fundamental result on doubly stochastic matrices in Frobenius normal form is given. This result is used to establish several well-known results concerning permutations, including a theorem due to Ruffini.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

A New Class of Bayes Minimax Estimators of the Mean Matrix of a Matrix Variate Normal Distribution

open access: yesMathematics
Bayes minimax estimation is important because it provides a robust approach to statistical estimation that considers the worst-case scenario while incorporating prior knowledge.

Numerical Investigation of the System-Matrix Method for Higher-Order Probe Correction in Spherical Near-Field Antenna Measurements

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2012
The system-matrix method for higher-order probe correction in spherical near-field scanning is based on a renormalized least-squares approach in which the normal matrix closely resembles the identity matrix when most of the energy of the probe pattern ...

The Difference of Zinc And Matrix Levels of Metalloproteinase-9 Serum Between Premature Rupture Of Membrane Aterm And Normal Pregnancy

open access: yesJournal of Midwifery, 2019
Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) is one of the common problems in the obstetric field, ranging from 8-10% of term pregnancies will experience PROM.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
