Aryl‐Bridged Polysilsesquioxanes as Support for Aqueous Phase Catalytic Phenol Hydrogenation: Effect of Hydrophobicity and Organic Content of the Support

open access: yesChemCatChem, Accepted Article.
In this research, aryl‐bridged polysilsesquioxane (ABPS), an organosilica material, is used as support to synthesize an efficient palladium (Pd) catalyst for catalytic hydrogenation of phenol to cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol. Techniques such as N2 physisorption, NMR, IR, TEM, CO chemisorption were employed to characterize the support.

Effect of the Aromatic Content of Organosilica Supports on Aqueous Phase Phenol Hydrogenation

open access: yesChemCatChem, Accepted Article.
In this work, bridged polysilsesquioxanes with varying aromatic content were used as catalyst supports with active metal palladium (Pd) for aqueous phase phenol hydrogenation. Alkoxysilane precursors, bis (trimethoxy silyl ethyl) benzene (BTEB) and bis (tri methoxy silyl) ethane (BTE) were co‐condensed by sol‐gel synthesis to vary the aromatic content ...

Pathway‐based integration of multi‐omics data reveals lipidomics alterations validated in an Alzheimer's disease mouse model and risk loci carriers

open access: yesJournal of Neurochemistry, Volume 164, Issue 1, Page 57-76, January 2023., 2023
A genome‐scale model network was built for Alzheimer's disease (AD) using data from publicly available genome‐wide association studies in humans, and transcriptomics and proteomics data from brain tissue from mouse models of AD. The derived network was characterized by gene ontology, transcription factor analysis, and pathway and cell‐type enrichment ...

NMR Solution Structure of the N-Terminal GSPII Domain from the Thermus Thermophilus Traffic ATPase PilF and Reconstruction of its c-di-GMP Binding Capability. [PDF]

open access: yesChembiochem
GSPII‐A is the first of three consecutive GSPII domains of PilF from Thermus thermophilus and the only one that does not bind c‐di‐GMP. In this study we solve the structure of GSPII‐A and show the key factors hindering c‐di‐GMP binding. Through mutagenesis, we elucidate the minimal motif conservation needed for c‐di‐GMP recognition. Abstract The cyclic

A Cytotoxic Indazole‐based Gold(III) Carboxamide Pincer Complex Targeting DNA Through Dual Binding Modes of Groove Binding and Alkylation

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Toward new gold(III) anticancer agents. Herein, we report on an indazole‐based gold(III) carboxamide pincer complex exhibiting significant cytotoxicity, likely mediated through dual interactions with DNA. Mechanistic investigations suggest that the complex binds to the DNA and forms specific interactions with nucleotide bases.

A Tetrazine‐Based Synthesis for Accessing Underutilized Aza‐Indole Analogues

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A nucleophilic aromatic substitution (SNAr)/Diels–Alder (DA)/retro Diels–Alder (rDA) reaction cascade has been developed to access pyrazolo[3,4‐c]pyridazine compounds. These cores have been further derivatized through divergent, late‐stage modifications to access various substitution patterns of the 3, 4, and 5 positions on the heterocyclic core ...
