Shape‐Selective Molecular Separations Enabled by Rigid and Interconnected Confinements Engineered in Conjugated Microporous Polymer Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Conjugated microporous polymer membranes with narrowly distributed network pores are prepared by diffusion‐modulated electropolymerization. This approach precisely controls the monomer diffusion and coupling processes, regulating the crosslinking degree to prevent broad aggregate pores and microporous defects.

Covalently Interlocked Electrode–Electrolyte Interface for High‐Energy‐Density Quasi‐Solid‐State Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The interlocking electrode–electrolyte (IEE) system addresses the challenges of quasi‐solid‐state electrolyte systems, such as void formation and increased interfacial resistance, in silicon microparticle anodes and Ni‐rich layered cathodes. By preserving a stable electrode–electrolyte interface, the IEE system mitigates mechanical degradation and ...

Dynamic nuclear polarization in a magnetic resonance force microscope experiment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We report achieving enhanced nuclear magnetization in a magnetic resonance force microscope experiment at 0.6 tesla and 4.2 kelvin using the dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) effect. In our experiments a microwire coplanar waveguide delivered radiowaves to excite nuclear spins and microwaves to excite electron spins in a 250 nm thick nitroxide-doped ...

Multispectral Photonic Structural Colors via Enhanced Interfacial Interference of Ultrathin Cellulose Nanofiber/MXene Films

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fabrication of CNF‐MXene free‐standing films: Ti3C2Tx MXene flakes integrated into a cellulose nanofiber (CNF) matrix through layered self‐assembly using vacuum‐assisted filtration. The layered structure of 4 µm thickness is displayed on SEM image.

Optically Detected Magnetic Resonances of Nitrogen-Vacancy Ensembles in 13C Enriched Diamond [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We present an experimental and theoretical study of the optically detected magnetic resonance signals for ensembles of negatively charged nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in 13C isotopically enriched single-crystal diamond. We observe four broad transition peaks with superimposed sharp features at zero magnetic field and study their dependence on applied ...

Chirality Induced Spin Selectivity – the Photoelectron View

open access: yesIsrael Journal of Chemistry, Volume 62, Issue 11-12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract In this short overview we discuss the manifestation of the chirality‐induced spin selectivity (CISS) effect in photoelectron spectroscopy experiments with direct spin analysis. Various systems, from the initially investigated monolayers of molecular biosystems and organic hepta‐helicene to recent chirally grown solid oxide films, are evaluated.

Computational Insights into the Interaction of the Conserved Cysteine-Noose Domain of the Human Respiratory Syncytial Virus G Protein with the Canonical Fractalkine Binding site of Transmembrane Receptor CX3CR1 Isoforms

open access: yesMembranes
The human Respiratory Syncytial Virus (hRSV) stands as one of the most common causes of acute respiratory diseases. The infectivity of this virus is intricately linked to its membrane proteins, notably the attachment glycoprotein (G protein).
