Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

STUDYING THE NUCLEAR STRUCTURE OF EVEN-EVEN DEFORMED GERMANIUM NUCLEUS [PDF]
In the present work, the interacting boson model(IBM-1) for s and d boson is used to calculate the energy levels of the positive parity bands, electric quadrupole moments, E2-transition probabilities B(E2)in particular between states which may be ...

Muonic atoms and the nuclear structure
High-precision laser spectroscopy of atomic energy levels enables the measurement of nuclear properties. Sensitivity to these properties is particularly enhanced in muonic atoms which are bound systems of a muon and a nucleus.

Nucleon and nuclear structure functions with non-perturbative and higher order perturbative QCD effects [PDF]
We have studied the nucleon structure functions $F_{iN}^{EM} (x,Q^2);~i=1,2$, by including contributions due to the higher order perturbative QCD effect up to NNLO and the non-perturbative effects due to the kinematical and dynamical higher twist (HT ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Spin-dependent structure functions in nuclear matter and the polarized EMC effect [PDF]
An excellent description of both spin-independent and spin-dependent quark distributions and structure functions has been obtained with a modified Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model, which is free of unphysical thresholds for nucleon decay into quarks - hence ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Analyzing rotational bands in odd-mass nuclei using effective field theory and Bayesian methods
We recently developed an Effective Field Theory (EFT) for rotational bands in odd-mass nuclei. Here we use EFT expressions to perform a Bayesian analysis of data on the rotational energy levels of 99Tc, 155,157Gd, 159Dy, 167,169Er, 167,169Tm, 183W, 235U ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Low-lying spin states of even–odd 191Pt nucleus [PDF]
Although the complex odd mass 191Pt nucleus has been studied theoretically by several models, there is still a lack of information concerning its electromagnetic moments and transitions.
