Peptides From Animal and Fishery Byproducts: Uplifting the Functionality of Fifth Quarter

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 4, April 2025.
Recovery of peptide reduces pollution, increases return, and functionality of products. Meat byproducts and processing techniques raise the sustainability of the meat industry. These peptides can also be used as active components of the packaging system. Umami peptides are used as taste enhancers for the development of new products.

A novel mouse model of upper tract urothelial carcinoma highlights the impact of dietary intervention on gut microbiota and carcinogenesis prevention despite carcinogen exposure

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 156, Issue 7, Page 1439-1456, 1 April 2025.
What's new? The BBN‐driven bladder cancer (BC) mouse model has been commonly used for more than 50 years. However, the mechanisms underlying the selective induction of BC over upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) remain unclear. Here, the authors established a non‐genetically modified mouse strain with a higher incidence of UTUC following ...

4‐O‐Methylglucuronoxylan from Hygrophila Ringens var. Ringens Seeds: Chemical Composition and Anti‐Inflammatory Activity

open access: yesMacromolecular Bioscience, Volume 25, Issue 4, April 2025.
4‐O‐Methylglucuronoxylan from Hygrophila ringens var. ringens is found to inhibit the serum albumin denaturation, inflammatory cytokines, and release of reactive oxygen species by activation of mitogen‐activated protein kinases without having significant macrophage cytotoxicity.

Digital PCR Assay Utilizing In‐Droplet Methylation‐Sensitive Digestion for Estimation of Fetal cfDNA From Plasma

open access: yesPrenatal Diagnosis, Volume 45, Issue 4, Page 500-509, April 2025.
ABSTRACT Objective Recent guidelines suggest that non‐invasive prenatal screening (NIPS) should be offered to all patients with singleton and twin pregnancies. Accurate determination of fetal fraction in cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) is vital for reliable NIPS outcomes.
