Use of Copper-Based Fungicides in Organic Agriculture in Twelve European Countries

open access: yesAgronomy, 2022
The reduction of copper-based plant-protection products with the final aim of phasing out has a high priority in European policy, as well as in organic agriculture. Our survey aims at providing an overview of the current use of these products in European

Coherent Control of Nitrogen Nuclear Spins via the VB−${\rm V}_B^-$‐Center in Hexagonal Boron Nitride

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates coherent control of 15N nuclear spins coupled to VB−${\text{V}}_{\text{B}}^{-}$ centers in isotope‐enriched hexagonal boron nitride. Selective addressing via spin‐state mixing enables Rabi driving, quantum gates, and coherence times exceeding 10 μs$\umu{\rm s}$.

Cashew (Anacardium occidentale L.) Nuts Modulate the Nrf2 and NLRP3 Pathways in Pancreas and Lung after Induction of Acute Pancreatitis by Cerulein

open access: yesAntioxidants, 2020
Background: One of the most common co-morbidities, that often leads to death, associated with acute pancreatitis (AP) is represented by acute lung injury (ALI). While many aspects of AP-induced lung inflammation have been investigated, the involvement of

Dual‐Functional Polyphosphoesters for Gene Delivery: Synergistic Effects of Guanidinium and Hydrophobic Side Chains in Degradable Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents guanidinium‐ and indole‐functionalized polyphosphoesters as degradable, non‐viral gene delivery vectors. Through precise tuning of charge density and hydrophobicity, these polymers form stable polyplexes with low toxicity. Remarkably, minor structural changes yield up to 200‐fold differences in transfection efficiency, highlighting ...

Application of Infrared Heating for Roasting Nuts

open access: yesJournal of Food Quality, 2020
Roasting is a key process in production of nuts. Improving the flavor and crispiness of texture in nuts is considered as a purpose of roasting, which increases the overall acceptance of the product.

Pattern Formation in Non‐Equilibrium Architected Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This article demonstrates an artificial mechanical system ‐ a robotic metamaterial ‐ as an accessible and versatile platform within which to explore and prescribe the reaction‐diffusion driven pattern formation hitherto associated with comparatively less accessible and versatile non‐equilibrium biological and chemical systems.

UTact: Underwater Vision‐Based Tactile Sensor with Geometry Reconstruction and Contact Force Estimation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Embedded flexible sensing technologies advance underwater soft robotics, yet most systems still suffer from hysteresis and limited perceptiveness. Instead, vision‐based tactile sensors provide reliable and rapid feedback essential for complex underwater tasks.
