Linear Mismatched Model Based Offset-Free MPC for Nonlinear Constrained Systems With Both Stochastic and Deterministic Disturbances and Its Application to CSTR

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
This paper presents a linear mismatched model-based offset-free model-predictive control approach for nonlinear systems (also suits for mismatched linear systems) with both bounded stochastic and deterministic disturbances.

Model-plant mismatch learning offset-free model predictive control

open access: yesCoRR, 2020
We propose model-plant mismatch learning offset-free model predictive control (MPC), which learns and applies the intrinsic model-plant mismatch, to effectively exploit the advantages of model-based and data-driven control strategies and overcome the limitations of each approach.

Sliding Mode Control for Hypersonic Vehicle Based on Extreme Learning Machine Neural Network Disturbance Observer

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
The novel extreme learning machine (ELM) neural network disturbance observer (NNDO) -based sliding mode control (SMC) strategy is proposed for the precise tracking control of a hypersonic vehicle (HV) under various disturbance situations.

Influence of Ball-End Milling Strategy on the Accuracy and Roughness of Free Form Surfaces

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Freeform surfaces are present on an increasing number of engineering products. Three- and multi-axis computer numerical control milling machines are commonly used for improved production.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Tuning SISO offset-free Model Predictive Control based on ARX models

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, we present a tuning methodology for a simple offset-free SISO Model Predictive Controller (MPC) based on autoregressive models with exogenous inputs (ARX models).

Model predictive control of resonance sensitive irrigation canals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Saving water is an economic and ecological need. One way to save water is to reduce losses in irrigation networks by canal automation. The goal of canal automation is to make the right amount of water to at arrive in the right time.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Double-layered nonlinear model predictive control based on Hammerstein–Wiener model with disturbance rejection

open access: yesMeasurement + Control, 2018
This paper presents the double-layered nonlinear model predictive control method for a continuously stirred tank reactor and a pH neutralization process that are subject to input disturbances and output disturbances at the same time.

Modelling and Offset-free Predictive Control of the Parallel-Type Double Inverted Pendulum

open access: yes2022 10th International Conference on Systems and Control (ICSC), 2022
This paper presents a nonlinear model of the parallel-type double inverted pendulum system with an elastic spring that produces opposing torques on the pendulums. The effects of solid and viscous frictional forces are considered in the developed model.
