Metadata quality matters in Open Government Data (OGD) evaluation! An empirical investigation of OGD portals of the GCC constituents:An empirical investigation of OGD portals of the GCC constituents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Purpose: The study seeks to investigate the quality of metadata associated with the open government data (OGD) portals of the six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) constituents – Bahrain (BH), Kuwait (KW), Oman (OM), Qatar (QA), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and United Arab Emirates (UAE).

OGD jako źródło danych w aplikacjach mobilnych

open access: yesDydaktyka Informatyki, 2021
OGD are crucial in terms of economic and business value, as well as achieving participatory democracy and civil society. It is enough to provide data sets collected and processed by the public administration in formats enabling their further application to trigger citizen’s creativity on how to exploit them usefully. These sets should be made available

Open Government Data Use in the Brazilian States and Federal District Public Administrations

open access: yesData, 2022
This research investigates whether, why, and how open government data (OGD) is used and reused by Brazilian state and district public administrations. A new online questionnaire was developed and collected data from 26 of the 27 federation units between ...

Targeted H2S Delivery System Attenuates Blood‐Spinal Cord Barrier Disruption after Spinal Cord Injury by Reshaping the Ferritinophagy Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The αvβ3‐mediated SPRC@MPDA‐RGD targets broken endothelial cells and controllably releases SPRC. CSE is then activated to produce endogenous H2S, which inhibits ferritinophagy. In brief, H2S inhibits autophagy by activating the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway, thereby suppressing the ferroptosis process mediated by NCOA4, and ultimately promoting the ...

Nature‐Inspired Surface Modification Strategy Reverses the Autophagic Flux Impairment of Mitochondrial Transplantation for Attenuating Ischemic Strokes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The functionalized starch modifies the mitochondrial surface and encapsulates resveratrol into the cavity of helices, facilitating a novel mitochondrial transplantation platform (MLSR). Upon internalization in recipient cells, MLSR triggers mitophagy and maintains positive autophagic flux through RIP1/RIP3 pathway inhibition.

Prolonged astrocyte-derived erythropoietin expression attenuates neuronal damage under hypothermic conditions

open access: yesJournal of Neuroinflammation, 2020
Background Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) has a high morbidity rate and involves severe neurologic deficits, including cerebral palsy. Therapeutic hypothermia (TH) has been shown to decrease the mortality rate and provide neuroprotection in ...

Phosphatidic Acid‐TRIM59‐Olig2 Signaling Couples Metabolic Dysfunction to Myelination Failure in PWMI

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PA accumulates after hypoxic‐ischemic injury and stabilizes the E3 ligase TRIM59 in OPCs. Stabilized TRIM59 enhances ubiquitination and degradation of Olig2, blocking differentiation and causing hypomyelination in PWMI. Modulating PA synthesis restores Olig2 levels, improves myelination, and ameliorates behavioral deficits, defining a metabolically ...

Neuroglobin overexpression inhibits oxygen–glucose deprivation-induced mitochondrial permeability transition pore opening in primary cultured mouse cortical neurons

open access: yesNeurobiology of Disease, 2013
Neuroglobin (Ngb) is an endogenous neuroprotective molecule against hypoxic/ischemic brain injury, but the underlying mechanisms remain largely undefined.

The Messiah of Ogd: An Ode to Nonsense

open access: yesNew Literaria, 2022
Sometimes it takes nonsense to understand sense. And sometimes, it takes a child and his/her nonsensical question for the whole sense of the world to collapse. This paper is an attempt to study Anushka Ravishankar’s nonsensical children’s novel Ogd. Ravishankar through her novel, deconstructs religion, science, logic and language; entities looked upon ...

Evolutionary Assembly and Future Design of Gibberellin Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Gibberellin (GA) signaling is widely regarded as a canonical hormone‐controlled growth pathway, yet accumulating evidence suggests that it emerged through stepwise evolutionary assembly rather than as a pre‐formed regulatory system. Here, we revisit the origin and diversification of the GA pathway from an evolutionary perspective.
