Quenching of Weak Interactions in Nucleon Matter [PDF]
We have calculated the one-body Fermi and Gamow-Teller charge-current, and vector and axial-vector neutral-current nuclear matrix elements in nucleon matter at densities of 0.08, 0.16 and 0.24 fm$^{-3}$ and proton fractions ranging from 0.2 to 0.5.

ABSTRACT Cancer cells rewire their metabolism to sustain a high proliferation rate. Sensing external cues is essential to match the metabolic fluxes of the cells to the external stimuli. As part of the glucose metabolism, the hexosamine biosynthesis pathway (HBP) is considered a nutrient‐sensing pathway. The HBP produces UDP‐GlcNAc, a key precursor for

O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT) is a ubiquitous enzyme that regulates the addition of β-N-acetylglucosamine (O-GlcNAc) to serine and threonine residues of target proteins. Autophagy is a cellular process of self-digestion, in which cytoplasmic resources, such

Liver Stiffness Characterization of OGTLKO Mouse Model of Progressive Liver Fibrosis
Objectives O‐GlcNAcylation plays a key regulatory role in hepatic physiology, and its disruption leads to fibrosis in liver‐specific OGT knockout mice (OGTLKO), making this model valuable for studying advanced metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatohepatitis (MASH).

Nucleocytoplasmic human O-GlcNAc transferase is sufficient for O-GlcNAcylation of mitochondrial proteins [PDF]
O-linked N-acetylglucosamine modification (O-GlcNAcylation) is a nutrient-dependent protein post-translational modification (PTM), dynamically and reversibly driven by two enzymes: O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT) and O-GlcNAcase (OGA) that catalyse the ...

Hcfc1 and Ogt Mediate Zebrafish CNS Regeneration Through Hippo/Yap Signalling
This work identifies Hcfc1 and Ogt as key regulators of zebrafish CNS regeneration through modulation of Hippo/Yap signalling. Loss of Hcfc1 or Ogt activity inhibition impairs regeneration, which is restored by Yap overexpression, revealing a new regulatory axis that enhances CNS regenerative capacity.

Improving Detection of Prediabetes in Children and Adults: Using Combinations of Blood Glucose Tests
Aim: To determine combinations of blood glucose tests: oral glucose tolerance (OGT), fasting plasma glucose (FBG) and hemoglobin A1C (HbA1C) that are associated with highest diagnostic rates of prediabetes in non-diabetic American children and adults ...
