Engaging and disengaging recurrent inhibition coincides with sensing and unsensing of a sensory stimulus [PDF]
Even simple sensory stimuli evoke neural responses that are dynamic and complex. Are the temporally patterned neural activities important for controlling the behavioral output? Here, we investigated this issue.

Potentiating Cerebral Perfusion Normalizes Glymphatic Dynamics in Systemic Inflammation
LPS‐induced systemic inflammation increases glymphatic influx but delays cervical lymphatic drainage, accompanied by AQP4 depolarization and impaired glymphatic clearance. Enhancing cerebral blood flow via the inotropic agent levosimendan effectively restored AQP4 polarization, improving glymphatic flux and amyloid‐β clearance.

Histamine H4 receptor (H4R) antagonist VUF6002 mimics low‐dose X‐ray irradiation in aged Alzheimer's disease (AD) mice, enhancing microglial clearance of amyloid‐beta/hyperphosphorylated tau aggregates and restoring cognition. Microglial H4R deletion activates cAMP/TGF‐β1/Smad3 pathway, enhancing phagocytosis, while TGF‐β receptor 1 deletion abolishes ...

Cognitive facilitation following intentional odor exposure [PDF]
This paper reviews evidence that, in addition to incidental olfactory pollutants, intentional odor delivery can impact cognitive operations both positively and negatively.

Multi‐modality imaging strategy applied to PRV‐induced central nervous system infection enables dynamic visualization of cerebrovascular dysfunction, including hyperemia, hypoperfusion, and vascular remodeling. These changes are linked to microglial activation and impaired angiogenesis, providing mechanistic insight into PRV neuropathogenesis and ...
