Oncostatin M reverses ABCG2-mediated mitoxantrone resistance

open access: yesBiomedicine & Pharmacotherapy
Mitoxantrone resistant variant of SW620 line was developed, characterized and subsequently used as a model system to determine oncostatin M ability to modulate MDR phenomenon. The selection regimen allowed for overexpression of ABCG2 and ABCB1 both at the RNA and protein level, which was further confirmed by functional assays.

Single-cell sequencing combined with spatial transcriptomics reveals the characteristics of follicle-targeted inflammation patterns in primary cicatricial alopecia

open access: yesCell & Bioscience
Background Primary cicatricial alopecia (PCA) causes irreversible hair loss due to immune-mediated hair follicle destruction. This study investigates follicle-targeted inflammation in lichen planopilaris (LPP), a major PCA subtype, to identify ...

Involvement of ADAMTS5 and hyaluronidase in aggrecan degradation and release from OSM-stimulated cartilage [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Cells & Materials, 2011
The relative contribution of a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs (ADAMTS)4 and ADAMTS5 to aggrecan degradation under oncostatin M (OSM) stimulation, the role of the ancillary domains of the aggrecanases on their ability to ...

Oncostatin M/Oncostatin M Receptor Signal Induces Radiation-Induced Heart Fibrosis by Regulating SMAD4 in Fibroblast

open access: yesInternational Journal of Radiation Oncology*Biology*Physics
Radiation-induced heart fibrosis (RIHF) is a severe consequence of radiation-induced heart damage (RIHD) leading to impaired cardiac function. The involvement of oncostatin M (OSM) and its receptor (OSMR) in RIHD remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the specific mechanism of OSM/OSMR in RIHF/RIHD.RNA sequencing was performed on heart ...

Suppression of gp130 attenuated insulin-mediated signaling and glucose uptake in skeletal muscle cells

open access: yesScientific Reports
The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of Oncostatin M receptor (OSMR) subunit gp130 knockdown on insulin-stimulated glucose metabolism-related signaling pathways and glucose uptake in skeletal muscle cells.
