Ontology Alignment with FOAM++
The rapid use of ontology in distributed systems as a knowledge representation mechanism, has led to a demand for ontology alignment process due to the heterogeneity arising between two or more ontology describing the same domain. Although many alignments tools have been proposed to reinforce the interoperability between different ontologies, most of ...

An Ontology Alignment Approach Combining Word Embedding and the Radius Measure
Ontology alignment plays a key role in achieving interoperability on the semantic Web. Inspired by the success of word embedding techniques in several NLP tasks, we propose a new ontology alignment approach based on the combination of word embedding and ...

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

An Industry-Ready Machine Learning Ontology
This article presents an industry-ready ontology for the machine learning domain, which is named “ML Ontology”. While based on lightweight modelling languages, ML ontology provides novel features including built-in queries and quality assurance, as well ...

A Linguistic Approach to Aligning Representations of Human Anatomy and Radiology [PDF]
To realize applications such as semantic medical image search different domain ontologies are necessary that provide complementary knowledge about human anatomy and radiology. Consequently, integration of these different but nevertheless related types of

Bootstrapping ontology alignment methods with APFEL [PDF]
Ontology alignment is a prerequisite in order to allow for interoperation between different ontologies and many alignment strategies have been proposed to facilitate the alignment task by (semi-)automatic means. Due to the complexity of the alignment task, manually defined methods for (semi-)automatic alignment rarely constitute an optimal ...

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.
