Magneto‐NIR‐II‐Programmed Cascade Nanozymes Unlocking Blood–Brain Barrier Translocation and Autophagic Resistance in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Magneto‐NIR‐II‐programmed NFSH nanozymes integrate magnetic blood–brain barrier (BBB) translocation, CD44 targeting, multimodal imaging, and cascade catalytic therapy for glioblastoma. Alternating magnetic fields and NIR‐II irradiation amplify ferroptosis, release H2S, suppress autophagic and mitophagic repair, and reshape the immune microenvironment ...

Optic Nerve Sheath Meningioma in the First Decade of Life: Case Report and Review of the Literature

open access: yesCase Reports in Ophthalmology, 2012
Background/Aim: Tumors of the optic nerve are mostly either optic nerve gliomas or optic nerve sheath meningiomas (ONSMs). While gliomas occur in children, most meningiomas are slow-growing tumors affecting middle-aged individuals with progressive visual

A Multidimensional Engineering Strategy Reprograms Microglia via Targeted and Sustained‐Release Extracellular Vesicles for Spinal Cord Injury Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional EV‐based nanoplatform (Ang‐TEVs@Gel) was engineered via preconditioning, surface targeting, and ROS‐responsive hydrogel encapsulation to reprogram microglia. This system restored autophagy via miR‐664a‐3p/PIK3CA axis, cleared myelin debris, resolved neuroinflammation, and promoted axon remyelination, ultimately achieving robust motor ...

Gliomas do nervo óptico: estudo de 11 casos Optic nerve gliomas: a study of 11 cases

No presente estudo, analisamos 11

Chemotherapy‐Activated GSK3β‐DNMT1 Signaling Upregulates CD47 to Evade Macrophage Phagocytosis and Drive Temozolomide Resistance in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Temozolomide treatment activates GSK3β, driving DNMT1 phosphorylation, destabilization, and CD47 promoter hypomethylation in glioblastoma. This epigenetic shift upregulates CD47, enabling TMZ‐treated GBM cells to evade macrophage phagocytosis, survive chemotherapy, and acquire resistance.

Lactate Signal: Modulator of Cellular Energy Production and Anabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Compartmentalized lactate signaling provides a spatial framework for understanding how lactate‐rich states are generated, transported, sensed, and translated into biological outputs. This Review integrates extracellular, cytosolic, mitochondrial‐associated, and nuclear lactate mechanisms to explain how lactate shapes metabolic adaptation, immune ...

3D Bioprinted Blood–Brain–Tumor Barrier Spheroid‐Based In Situ Evaluation of Anticancer Compounds Against Glioblastoma: ROS‐Producing Ruthenium as a Potential Therapeutic Candidate

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The blood–brain–tumor barrier (BBTB) penetration by anticancer drugs and their effects on glioblastoma (GBM) is assessed using 3D bioprinted‐spheroids. Anticancer drug‐induced U‐87 MG cell death is quantified through in situ imaging of spheroids using a cancer cell death probe. The Ru compound, a partial P‐gp substrate, induces greater tumor‐cell death
