System‐Local Axes and Metabolic Reprogramming From Health to Response in House Dust Mite‐Specific Subcutaneous Immunotherapy for Allergic Rhinitis

open access: yesiMetaMed, EarlyView.
This study delineated nasal‐plasma metabolic reprogramming in house dust mite‐allergic rhinitis (HDM‐AR) and subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) response, showing compartment‐specific signatures dominated by nasal lipid‐redox and plasma nucleotide‐NAD+ axes and across the HC–HDM‐AR–SCIT response continuum, dual‑compartment metabolites exhibited ...

Hepatocyte‐Centered Regulation of MASH Fibrosis: From Animal Models to Molecular Mechanisms and Targeted Therapies

open access: yesiNew Medicine, EarlyView.
This review highlights hepatocytes as active regulators of MASH fibrosis through secreted proteins, metabolites, and extracellular vesicles that modulate hepatic stellate cell activation. These hepatocyte–stellate cell communication pathways provide a mechanistic framework for developing targeted antifibrotic therapies, including hepatocyte‐directed ...

Orotic Acid in Yoghurt

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science, 1969
Abstract During the preparation of commercial yoghurt from milk, the mean concentration of orotic acid decreased from 8.2 to 4.6 mg/100ml. This decrease was attributed to the metabolic activity of the Lactobacillus species used in preparation of the yoghurt.

A neonate with ornithine aminotransferase deficiency; insights on the hyperammonemia-associated biochemical phenotype of gyrate atrophy

open access: yesMolecular Genetics and Metabolism Reports, 2022
Gyrate atrophy of the choroid and retina (GACR) secondary to deficiency of ornithine aminotransferase (OAT) is a rare autosomal recessive metabolic disorder usually diagnosed in childhood when patients develop myopia and a characteristic retinal ...

DIETARY ADENINE ALLEVIATES FATTY LIVER INDUCED BY OROTIC ACID

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemistry, 2010
The effects of dietary adenine in fatty liver induced by orotic acid (OA) were studied. Rats were paired-fed 1% OA-supplemented diets with/or without 0.25% adenine or a diet without OA for 10 days.

Novel Amino Acid Changes Increase Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxylase Output in planta

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 49, Issue 11, Page 8306-8321, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Characterization of previously reported Arabidopsis mutants with increased aluminum (Al) resistance (alr) resulting from greater release of Al‐chelating malate identified three unique amino acid substitutions that each impacts PHOSPHOENOLPYRUVATE CARBOXYLASE 1, a key anaplerotic carbon fixation enzyme.
