Novel cytotoxic constituents of Orthosiphon diffusus
Tetrahedron Letters, 2011Abstract Chemical investigation on Orthosiphon diffusus resulted in the isolation of four relatively rare, novel polychiral furanopyrans, orthodiffenes A–D (1–4) which were characterized from detailed studies of their 1D and 2D NMR spectra. The X-ray crystallographic analysis of orthodiffene A (1) was accomplished.

Molecular Modeling and Simulation of Transketolase from Orthosiphon stamineus
Current Computer-Aided Drug Design, 2019Background: Orthosiphon stamineus is a traditional medicinal plant in Southeast Asia countries with various well-known pharmacological activities such as antidiabetic, diuretics and antitumor activities. Transketolase is one of the proteins identified in the leaves of the plant and transketolase is believed able to lower blood sugar level in human ...

Diuretic Action of AqueousOrthosiphonExtract in Rats
Planta Medica, 1992An aqueous extract of Orthosiphonis folium, given orally, enhances considerably ion excretion in rat to a level comparable to that obtained with furosemide. No aqueretic action is observed. The increased ion excretion is not due to the potassium content of the starting material.

Four Highly Oxygenated Isopimarane-Type Diterpenes of Orthosiphon stamineus
Planta Medica, 2002Four highly oxygenated isopimarane-type diterpenes, named orthosiphols O, P and Q and nororthosiphonolide A, have been isolated from the aerial parts of Orthosiphon stamineus from Myanmar, together with three known diterpenes, orthosiphols D and E and orthosiphonone A. Their structures were determined on the basis of extensive spectral analysis.

Staminol A, a novel diterpene from Orthosiphon stamineus
Tetrahedron Letters, 1999Abstract From the aerial part of a Vietnamese medicinal plant, Orthosiphon stamineus Benth . (Lamiaceae), staminol A (1), a diterpene with a novel carbon framework, was isolated together with four new isopimarane-type diterpenes, orthosiphols FI (2–5). Their structures were elucidated by the spectroscopic analyses.
