The PI3K/AKT/mTOR Pathway and Oral Diseases: A Bibliometric Analysis From 2008 to 2025

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Dental Research, Volume 11, Issue 5, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Objectives The phosphoinositide 3 kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (AKT)/mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathway is a key therapeutic target for oral diseases. This study uses bibliometric analysis to identify research trends, knowledge gaps, and the development of PI3K/AKT/mTOR‐targeted therapies.

Loss of Brd4 alleviates pathological bone loss via Slc9b2 suppression in osteoclastogenesis

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2025.
Brd4 regulates bone metabolism through Slc9b2 suppression: a targeted therapeutic approach for osteoporosis. Elevated Brd4 expression is strongly correlated with osteoporosis, primarily by promoting osteoclastogenesis. Mechanistically, Brd4 is crucial role in regulating glycolysis, a prerequisite for osteoclastogenesis (left).

Forsythiaside A Suppresses Ferroptosis and Mitigates Type 2 Diabetes Osteoporosis Through the NRF2/GPX4 Axis

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 10, October 2025.
Type 2 diabetes‐associated osteoporosis (T2DOP), a metabolic bone disorder exacerbated by hyperglycemia‐induced ferroptosis, lacks effective therapies. Our study demonstrates that forsythiaside A (FA), a bioactive compound from Forsythia suspensa, alleviates T2DOP in preclinical models by dual mechanisms: activating the Nrf2/GPX4 axis to suppress ...
