A subset of high‐grade sarcomas with myogenic differentiation are associated with recurrent FGFR fusions

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology: Clinical Research, Volume 12, Issue 4, July 2026.
Abstract Recurrent fusions involving FGFR1‐4 genes have been previously described in rare subsets of mostly benign chondroid and mesenchymal neoplasms involving bone and soft tissue. However, a more comprehensive analysis of sarcomas associated with FGFR fusions, including their incidence and histotypes, has not been performed.

Integrative Transcriptomic and Functional Analysis of PKMYT1 Reveals a Potential Therapeutic Target in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

open access: yesHematological Oncology, Volume 44, Issue 4, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a clinically and molecularly heterogeneous disease. PKMYT1, a G2/M cell cycle kinase, has been implicated in tumor progression in several cancers, but its role in CLL remains unclear. We evaluated PKMYT1 expression in primary CLL samples and analyzed associations with cytogenetic features and clinical ...

PVT1 lincRNA signals an androgen‐dependent transcriptional activation program of oncogenes in prostate cancer cells

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 1, Page 144-158, 1 July 2026.
What's New? Unraveling the networks that regulate androgen receptor (AR) function is critical to better understanding prostate cancer development and progression. Of particular interest in this regard is the long non‐coding RNA PVT1, which regulates gene expression in cancer and is upregulated in prostate tumors.

Biodegradable Natural Polymer‐Based Drug Delivery Systems for Bone Tissue Engineering

open access: yesMedicinal Research Reviews, Volume 46, Issue 4, Page 966-988, July 2026.
ABSTRACT The increasing incidence of bone diseases and injuries, especially among aging populations, has underscored the shortcomings of traditional treatments such as bone grafts and metal implants, which often face complications including immune rejection, mechanical failure, and delayed healing.
