Evaluation of Properties of Crofer Stainless Steel Produced by Mechanical Alloying for Using as Interconnect Plates of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Materials in Engineering, 2016
This study has examined the properties of Crofer 22APU stainless steel produced by mechanical alloying for using as interconnect plates in solid oxide fuel cells. This alloy was produced by mixing the source powders and mechanical alloying for 40 hours ...

Research on the high-temperature oxidation properties of high-Mn and low-Ni austenitic stainless steel containing an aluminizing layer

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
High manganese (Mn) austenitic stainless steel substitutes expensive nickel (Ni) with more affordable Mn, thereby reducing production costs. However, its resistance to high-temperature oxidation is significantly compromised due to the formation of ...

Investigation on the High-Temperature Oxidation Resistance of Ni-(3~10) Ta and Ni-(3~10) Y Alloys

open access: yesMetals, 2019
Ni-(3~10) Ta and Ni-(3~10) Y alloys were fabricated by vacuum arc melting. The oxidation resistance of the alloys was studied by cyclic and isothermal oxidation tests at 800 °C in static air.

Oxidation Behavior of Oxidation-resistive Glass-coated PbTe.

open access: yesJournal of the Japan Society of Powder and Powder Metallurgy, 1997
Oxidation behavior of lead telluride (PbTe) and glass-coated PbTe was studied at oxygen partial pressures of 10Pa to 0.1MPa in the temperature range between 700 to 900K. Mass loss was observed at moderately low oxygen partial pressures and at high temperatures, while mass gain was observed at high oxygen partial pressures and at low temperatures.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Preparation and characterization of Ni-Cu composite nanoparticles for conductive paints

open access: yesScience and Engineering of Composite Materials, 2019
Ni and Cu are the two most promising alternatives to noble metals used in electrical conductive materials. However, Cu is susceptible to oxidation, while Ni exhibits poorer electrical conductivity.

Complementary resistive switching in tantalum oxide-based resistive memory devices

open access: yesApplied Physics Letters, 2012
Complementary resistive switches (CRS) are considered as a potential solution for the sneak path problem in large-scale integration of passive crossbar resistive memory arrays. A typical CRS is composed of two bipolar memory cells that are connected anti-serially.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...
