Oxidative stability of Pickering emulsions

open access: yesFood Chemistry: X, 2022
In recent years, Pickering emulsions have been the focus of growing interest because of their possible role as alternatives to conventional emulsions. Some reviews have investigated the physical stability of Pickering emulsions, but the oxidative stability of these emulsions remains largely unexplored.

Oxidative Stability of Selected Edible Oils [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
The aim of the study was to examine and compare oxidative stability of refined (peanut, corn, rice bran, grapeseed, and rapeseed) oils. The oils were subject a Schaal Oven Test (temperature 63 ± 1 °C) and a Rancimat test (temperature 120 °C) and their stability was compared at the 1st and 12th month of storage.

Thermodynamic Stability of Clusters of Molybdenum Oxide [PDF]

open access: yesLangmuir, 2004
We show that a single geometrical rule underlies the stability of "polyoxomolybdates", the variety of clusters of molybdenum(VI) oxide in (acidified) aqueous solution that are found experimentally. We predict that upon increasing the proton or total molybdenum oxide concentration, the average size of the clusters increases.

INFLUENCE OF THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY OXIDATION INHIBITORS ON THE OXIDATION STABILITY OF THE MINERAL BASE OILS [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings on Engineering Sciences, 2019
Oxidation stability is one of the most important characteristics of both base oils and finished products. Based on this characteristic, it is possible to evaluate the ability of lubricants to provide a long usage time under different application ...

Thin Reinforced Ion-Exchange Membranes Containing Fluorine Moiety for All-Vanadium Redox Flow Battery

open access: yesMembranes, 2021
In this work, we developed pore-filled ion-exchange membranes (PFIEMs) fabricated for the application to an all-vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) by filling a hydrocarbon-based ionomer containing a fluorine moiety into the pores of a porous polyethylene

Review of the stability of biodiesel produced from less common vegetable oils of African origin

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Science, 2015
The stability of biodiesel is dependent on storage conditions such as contact with ambient air and metals, exposure to sunlight and high temperature conditions which accelerate oxidation reactions.

Microencapsulation protects the biological activity of sea buckthorn seed oil

open access: yesFrontiers in Nutrition, 2023
IntroductionSea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) seed oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, and is thus susceptible to oxidation and rancidity. Microencapsulation technology allows the effective protection of active substances, thereby prolonging the ...
