Sodium paeoniflorin sulfonate, a process derived artefact from paeoniflorin [PDF]

open access: yesTetrahedron Letters, 2005
Sodium paeoniflorin sulfonate 2 was isolated from processed, but not unprocessed, Paeonia lactiflora roots and characterized by mass spectrometry and NMR spectroscopy. A notable and characteristic downfield shift in the H-1 NMR was observed for the hydrogens to the alkoxysulfonate moiety in 2 and in other model compounds. (c) 2005 Elsevier Ltd.

Pharmacokinetic comparisons of Paeoniflorin and Paeoniflorin-6'O-benzene sulfonate in rats via different routes of administration [PDF]

open access: yesXenobiotica, 2016
1. The pharmacokinetics study of Paeoniflorin (Pae) and its acylated derivative (CP-25) was performed. 2. The structure of CP-25 was identified by mass spectrometry (MS) and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR). The rats were injected with CP-25(6, 12, 24 mg/kg) and orally treated with CP-25 (32, 64, 128 mg/kg), respectively.

Microbiological transformation of paeoniflorin and albiflorin

China Journal of Chinese Matera Medica, 2010
To investigate the microbiological transformation of paeoniflorin and albiflorin. The bacteria strains able to transform paeoniflorin and albiflorin were screened from 18 strains of microorganisms. The products were isolated by chromatography method and their structures were elucidated by spectral technology. It was found that Cunninghamella blakesleana (

Paeoniflorin promotes intestinal stem cell-mediated epithelial regeneration and repair via PI3K-AKT-mTOR signalling in ulcerative colitis.

International Immunopharmacology, 2023
Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a chronic and immune-mediated inflammatory disorder characterized by abdominal pain, diarrhoea, and haematochezia. The goal of clinical therapy for UC is mucosal healing, accomplished by regenerating and repairing the ...

Detection of Paeoniflorin and Albiflorin by Immunostaining Technique Using Anti‐Paeoniflorin Monoclonal Antibody

Phytochemical Analysis, 2012
ABSTRACTIntroductionPaeoniae radix is one of the most important crude drugs used in Kampo medicines (KMs). A part of its pharmaceutical properties is due to the presence of paeoniflorin (PF) and albiflorin (AF).ObjectiveFor the specific and easy identification of PF and AF, an immunostaining technique was developed using anti‐PF monoclonal antibody ...

Involvement of Multitargets in Paeoniflorin-Induced Preconditioning

The Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, 2006
Paeoniflorin (PF) is the principal component of Paeoniae radix prescribed in traditional Chinese medicine. The delayed neuroprotection induced by PF preconditioning and its underlying mechanisms were investigated in rat middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) and reperfusion model.

Paeoniflorin: an antihyperlipidemic agent from Paeonia lactiflora

Fìtoterapìâ, 2004
Paeoniflorin (1), isolated from the methanol extract of Paeonia lactiflora, showed a lowering effect on cholesterol level in the experimentally-induced hyperlipidemic rats. Paeoniflorin showed a significantly lowering effect of total cholesterol, LDL and triglyceride levels compared with the control group at the dose of 200 and 400 mg/kg, p.o.

Direct pharmacological targeting of Piezo1 by Paeoniflorin: a novel therapeutic approach for renal fibrosis

Journal of Advanced Research
Graphical abstract Mechanism model of PF alleviating renal fibrosis via endothelial cell Piezo1/HIF-1α axis. In chronic kidney disease (CKD), activation of endothelial Piezo1 is driven by dual pathological stimuli: secondary hypoxia due to microvascular ...

Effect of paeoniflorin on distal survival of random flaps

International Immunopharmacology, 2022
Distal ischemic necrosisis a common complication of orthopedic random skin flaps surgery. Paeoniflorin, a natural compound extracted from Paeonia lactiflora, can enhances angiogenesis and alleviates excessive inflammatory response. We investigated the changes of ischemic extra-long flaps with paeoniflorin and its possible mechanism. We raised dorsal ...
