Progressive stiffening of the hepatic extracellular matrix and free fatty acid overload activate the mechanosensor Piezo1 in steatotic hepatocytes, inducing calcium influx and nuclear translocation of Yes‐associated protein. YAP‐dependent nuclear signaling further drives inflammatory and fibrotic gene programs, lipid metabolic reprogramming, and ...

This study demonstrates that somatic PIK3CA mutations suppress PPT1 expression via activation of the PI3K–AKT–c‐JUN axis. This reduction in PPT1 weakens its interaction with P300, thereby increasing palmitoylation at C1176 of P300 and protecting P300 from lysosomal degradation.

This study develops a portable photobioreactor in which Skeletonema costatum growth is optimized using Box‐Behnken design. The physico‐chemical parameters, such as temperature, salinity and pH are standardized to maximize culture duration and biomass production. The optimized biomass exhibits high protein content and essential fatty acids, particularly

Disrupted lipid homeostasis as a pathogenic mechanism in ABCA7‐associated Alzheimer's disease risk
Abstract INTRODUCTION ABCA7 (ATP binding cassette subfamily A member 7) encodes a lipid transporter associated with increasing risk for Alzheimer's disease (AD). A 44‐base pair deletion in ABCA7 (rs142076058; p.Arg578Alafs) is a strong risk factor in individuals of African ancestry (AA).
