Region-Manipulated Fusion Networks for Pancreatitis Recognition [PDF]
This work first attempts to automatically recognize pancreatitis on CT scan images. However, different form the traditional object recognition, such pancreatitis recognition is challenging due to the fine-grained and non-rigid appearance variability of the local diseased regions.

ABSTRACT Malabsorption is a complex and multifaceted condition characterised by the defective passage of nutrients into the blood and lymphatic streams. Several congenital or acquired disorders may cause either selective or global malabsorption in both children and adults, such as cystic fibrosis, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI), coeliac ...

Differential Diagnosis for Pancreatic Cysts in CT Scans Using Densely-Connected Convolutional Networks [PDF]
The lethal nature of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) calls for early differential diagnosis of pancreatic cysts, which are identified in up to 16% of normal subjects, and some of which may develop into PDAC. Previous computer-aided developments have achieved certain accuracy for classification on segmented cystic lesions in CT.

Pediatric Autoimmune Pancreatitis: Clinical Findings and Outcomes in Sweden
ABSTRACT Introduction Pediatric autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) is a rare form of pancreatitis in children with poorly understood pathophysiology. It is a recognized risk factor for chronic pancreatitis in approximately 4% of pediatric cases. This study aims to describe the demographics, clinical characteristics, and outcomes of a large Swedish cohort of

Differences in the Fecal Metabolome of Autoimmune Pancreatitis Patients
ABSTRACT Background Chronic pancreatitis is a risk factor for pancreatic cancer. Autoimmune pancreatitis is a unique form of chronic pancreatitis that is primarily characterized by its immune mediate etiology, clinically resembling pancreatic cancer, yet uniquely responsive to steroid treatment.

Optical detection of fractal dimensions of MUC13 stained pancreatic tissues for cancer diagnostics [PDF]
Transmission intensity of a thin tissue sample produce intensity distribution that is proportional to the refractive index pattern in the thin slice, in turn reflects mass density pattern, and using the intensity pattern, fractal dimension can be calculated. In this paper, we report fractal dimension analyses of MUC13 stained pancreatic cancer tissues.
