ABSTRACT The subfamily Gomphrenoideae is composed of about 480 accepted species, many of which have been historically used as medicinal plants, reason why they have been studied in terms of chemical profile, biological activity, and safety. This review consolidates the advances in research on this subfamily over the past 47 years, emphasizing its ...

Illuminating Immunity: A Systematic Review of Immune Cell Autofluorescence
ABSTRACT Immunophenotyping provides valuable prognostic and diagnostic information, but is technically complex and expensive. The assessment of autofluorescence is label‐free and provides complex information on cell identity. However, research on its application to immunophenotyping has been heterogenous.

Leveraging Uncertainty in Deep Learning for Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma Grading [PDF]
Pancreatic cancers have one of the worst prognoses compared to other cancers, as they are diagnosed when cancer has progressed towards its latter stages. The current manual histological grading for diagnosing pancreatic adenocarcinomas is time-consuming and often results in misdiagnosis.

Absence of diabetes and pancreatic exocrine dysfunction in a transgenic model of carboxyl-ester lipase-MODY (maturity-onset diabetes of the young). [PDF]
CEL-MODY is a monogenic form of diabetes with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency caused by mutations in CARBOXYL-ESTER LIPASE (CEL). The pathogenic processes underlying CEL-MODY are poorly understood, and the global knockout mouse model of the CEL gene ...

SCPMan: Shape Context and Prior Constrained Multi-scale Attention Network for Pancreatic Segmentation [PDF]
Due to the poor prognosis of Pancreatic cancer, accurate early detection and segmentation are critical for improving treatment outcomes. However, pancreatic segmentation is challenged by blurred boundaries, high shape variability, and class imbalance.

Abstract Cyclodepsipeptides (CDPs) represent a huge family of chemically and structurally diverse molecules with a wide ability for molecular interactions. CDPs are cyclic peptide‐related natural products made up of both proteinogenic and nonproteinogenic amino acids linked by amide and ester bonds.
