Imobilização da pancreatina em carvão ativado e em alumina para o preparo de hidrolisados de soro de leite = Immobilization of pancreatin in activated carbon and in alumina for preparing whey hydrolysates

open access: yesActa Scientiarum. Health Sciences, 2005
Tendo como objetivo a redução de custos do processo de fabricação dehidrolisados protéicos, estudou-se neste trabalho a imobilização da pancreatina, por adsorção, em carvão ativado e em alumina.

The Identification and Characterization of Chitotriosidase Activity in Pancreatin from Porcine Pancreas

open access: yesMolecules, 2013
The versatile oligosaccharide biopolymers, chitin and chitosan, are typically produced using enzymatic processes. However, these processes are usually costly because chitinases and chitosanases are available in limited quantities.

Preparation and Characterization of Multilayered Microcapsules of Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus Encapsulated With Sodium Alginate, Jujube Mucilage, and Whey Protein Isolate in Goat Milk Dessert

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 2, February 2026.
A dual‐layer microencapsulation system composed of alginate, jujube mucilage, and whey protein isolate effectively protected Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus under heat and simulated gastrointestinal conditions. The optimized formulation (JM:WPI, 6:4) achieved the highest encapsulation efficiency (94.16%).

Yogurt Fortification With Lyophilized Liposomes Coencapsulating Vitamins D3 and B12: Physicochemical Characterization, Sensory Evaluation and Static In Vitro Digestion

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, Volume 91, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Liposomes are lipid‐based delivery systems of interest in pharmaceutical, food, and nutraceutical industries due to their ability to encapsulate bioactive compounds, such as vitamins, improving stability, solubility, and bioavailability. This study aimed to develop functional yogurt enriched with vitamins D3 and B12 by encapsulating these ...

Action of a pancreatin and an Aspergillus oryzae protease on whey proteins: correlation among the methods of analysis of the enzymatic hydrolysates

open access: yesBrazilian Archives of Biology and Technology, 2013
The objectives of this study were to hydrolyze whey proteins using a pancreatin and an Aspergillus oryzae protease; to evaluate the degree of hydrolysis (DH) and the peptide profile; and to establish the correlations among the analytical methods.

Pancreatin in Exophthalmic Goiter [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Medical Association, 1916
To the Editor: —In connection with the recent demonstration of quite a uniform hyperglycemia in exophthalmic goiter, and the communication of Dr. O'Day (The Journal, Dec. 18, 1915, p. 2185), it is noteworthy that in two of my cases there was a complete cessation of exophthalmic symptoms with recession of goiter on rectal administration of pancreatin ...

Disruption of ATP Synthase Spatiotemporal Organization, Ca2+ Dynamics, and Contractile Function in Senescent Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 2, February 2026.
Enhanced ATP hydrolysis, ΔΨm flickering, and destabilized ATP synthase dimers collectively reduce ATP availability in senescent cardiomyocytes. This energy deficit is associated with disrupted Ca2⁺ dynamics and contractility. ABSTRACT Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the elderly population.

Characterization of Peptides Found in Unprocessed and Extruded Amaranth (Amaranthus hypochondriacus) Pepsin/Pancreatin Hydrolysates

open access: yesInternational Journal of Molecular Sciences, 2015
The objectives of this study were to characterize peptides found in unprocessed amaranth hydrolysates (UAH) and extruded amaranth hydrolysates (EAH) and to determine the effect of the hydrolysis time on the profile of peptides produced.

Unravelling the behaviour of curcumin nanoemulsions during in vitro digestion: effect of the surface charge [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Oil-in-water nanoemulsions containing curcumin were prepared through high-pressure homogenization using corn oil and three different emulsifiers: Tween 20 (non-ionic), Sodium Dodecyl Sulphate (SDS, anionic) and DodecylTrimethylAmmonium Bromide (DTAB ...
