OPA1 in MC4R Neurons Regulates Dietary Fat Intake and Body Weight in Mice

Soybean oil intake induces OPA1 expression in hypothalamic MC4R neurons, contributing to adaptive regulation of appetite. MC4R neuron‐specific OPA1 deficiency increases soybean oil consumption and leads to obesity, with a more pronounced effect in females.
