A Building Block to the Design of Partial Discharge Free HV and MV Cables: Modeling Defects and Discharge Inception Voltage

open access: yesIEEE Access
It is well assessed that partial discharges, PD, are one of the major causes of MV and HV cable system breakdown, thus investigating partial discharge phenomenology and harmfulness is a key topic in relation to electric asset component reliability ...

Frequency Resolved Partial Discharges Based on Spectral Pulse Counting

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
A partial discharge (PD) classification methodology based counting PD pulses in the spectral domain is proposed and presented in this paper. The spectral counting data are processed using the proposed PD Spectral Pulse Counting Mapping technique (PD-SPCM)

Numerical modeling of partial discharges in a solid dielectric-bounded cavity: A review

open access: yesIEEE transactions on dielectrics and electrical insulation, 2019
Partial discharge (PD) taking place in a solid dielectric-bounded cavity involves physical processes such as free electron supply, discharge development and surface charge decaying, which bring about memory effects and become the main reasons for ...

NEW METHOD OF DETERMINING SIZE AND PROVISION OF DEFECTS IN THE INSULATION OF WINDINGS OF STATOR OF TURBOGENERATORS AT MEASUREMENT OF PARTIAL DISCHARGES IN THEM

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Проблемы энергетики, 2018
The paper provides a new method for determining the dimensions and position of defects in the insulation of the stator windings of turbogenerators when partial discharges (PD) are measured in them.

Experimental investigation of different cavity arrangements in the high voltage solid insulation systems

open access: yesYanbu Journal of Engineering and Science, 2022
The partial discharge (PD) test is a widely used technique for evaluating the performance of the insulations in the high voltage (HV) plant. Electrical sparks, or PD, can deteriorate the insulation of HV equipment.

A Review on the Classification of Partial Discharges in Medium-Voltage Cables: Detection, Feature Extraction, Artificial Intelligence-Based Classification, and Optimization Techniques

open access: yesEnergies
Medium-voltage (MV) cables often experience a shortened lifespan attributed to insulation breakdown resulting from accelerated aging and anomalous operational and environmental stresses.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Structural studies and functional engineering of NanX: an anhydro‐sialic acid transporter from Escherichia coli

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Biophysical characterisation shows that NanX, a membrane transport protein from the major facilitator superfamily (MFS), forms both monomers and dimers after purification. AlphaFold modelling and substrate docking provide information on residues likely involved in substrate recognition for NanX and another MFS member, NanT.
