[r,s,t]-colourings of paths [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2007
The concept of \([r,s,t]\)-colourings was recently introduced by Hackmann, Kemnitz and Marangio [A. Kemnitz, M. Marangio, \([r,s,t]\)-Colorings of Graphs, Discrete Math., to appear] as follows: Given non-negative integers \(r\), \(s\) and \(t\), an \([r ...

Representative dissimilar path queries: accommodating human movement dynamics in road networks

open access: yesJournal of Spatial Information Science, 2023
We introduce a representative dissimilar path (RDP) query, a novel type of path query in road networks. The k representative paths (RPs) between a source and a destination locations have k smallest costs for a feature (e.g., length, number of road ...

Suppression of lung adenocarcinoma migration through organelle alkalization by human lactoferrin – albumin fusion

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

Why human connection is the true metric of research success

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human‐centred mentorship can be shaped by mentor attributes, actions, intrinsic drive and career ambition. Drawing on reflections across Singapore and France, as well as workshop insights from FEBS‐IUBMB ENABLE 2024, this article shows that human‐centred mentorship creates the conditions for sustainable growth, well‐being and retention in research ...

A logic of graph conditions extended with paths [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper we tackle the problem of extending the logic of nested graph conditions with paths. This means, for instance, that we may state properties about the existence of paths between some given nodes.

La performance del sistema educativo argentino en las últimas décadas

open access: yesAnálisis, 2017
In the context of expansion and multiple transformations of the Argentine educational system, overfly discussions on institutional expansion, the evolution of the school population and samples of a system designed to generate greater inclusion. The aim of

Versatile vector tools for efficient protein screening across multiple expression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A unified vector toolkit enables rapid protein expression screening across E. coli, insect, and mammalian cells. A single primer pair amplifies the target gene, which is inserted into any vector via a standardized interface. This streamlined workflow eliminates repeated cloning steps, accelerating the identification of optimal expression conditions for

Enumeration of Generalised Directed Lattice Paths in a Strip [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
PhD thesisThis thesis is about the enumeration of two models of directed lattice paths in a strip. The first problem considered is of path diagrams formed by Dyck paths and columns underneath it, counted with respect to the length of the paths and the ...

Generation of transport paths in fractured porous media

open access: yes, 2017
In this article, a method for generation of transport paths in combined equivalent porous media / discrete fracture network computational meshes is proposed as an alternative to a particle tracking method. It is based on a computation of the functional

Emerging insights into CC and CXC chemokines and their receptors in Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The dual roles of CC and CXC chemokines in distinguishing active, latent, and subclinical tuberculosis were reviewed, along with an evaluation of their potential as diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets to advance precision medicine in tuberculosis management. The graphical abstract was generated with AI assistance (Gemini 3.0).
